£25,4 times a year.And I thought that was expensive!

purplepenguin86 · 27/09/2012 21:08

A few people have said they do MN - what do you mean?

suntodayplease · 27/09/2012 21:55

Circa £120 for half head of highlights, cut and blow dry. I'm in the SW, this seems to be just above average cost around here. Cut and colour quality is good, so I only go every 10 weeks. They do DD's hair for £5 and she gets just as much fuss as I do.

£20. It used to be £70 until my lovely hairdresser suggested I become one of her 'private' clients. Smile

£55

I have always done my colour but it's been looking terrible so I had that done too last time - another £50.

Toni and Guy - expensive but lovely

£30ish ??- mark hill salon. i used to have the senior stylist but i was bored and haircut was uninspired. swapped about a bit and now have their junior stylist who is just brilliant....no idea what i pay but its cheaper than before. i have highlights - last cut with highlights was about £45 i think, need a full head next time but the cut is much better

Drywhiteplease · 28/09/2012 21:32

You have persuaded me to sack my hairdresser. I pay too much. £65. He is a fantastic cutter, even after 11 weeks it still looks great and people do ask me where i get my hair cut. BUT I hate the way he dries it,have told him nicely many times but I always end up doing it myself at home after, and he's a bit moody too, and a prima Donna and hes "soooooo busy" that you have to book 2 appointments ahead...........why do I go? Because its a fantastic cut. Am I mad?
And more importantly how do I do it?

BegoniaBigtoes · 28/09/2012 22:02

£12 and I've never been happier. I used to go to posho salons when I was childless and working full time and I have spent £100+ in the past, but still often felt they didn't listen. My local old lady salon are so nice and fab with the dc and do my hair how I like it. Maybe I've waved goodbye to stylishness and just dont realise?

InvisibleHotPinkWeasel · 28/09/2012 22:08

£0.00 I do a version of the MN too - although with a straight fringe and even layers.

melliebobs · 28/09/2012 22:08

I always get a colour. Cut n colour £69

nipersvest · 28/09/2012 22:44

£18 every 2 months and i colour it at home.

ladybird4 · 28/10/2012 19:03

£50+and it's never right - paid £54 yesterday and I will have to go back on Tuesday as one side is noticeably shorter than the other. Wish I could find a hair-dresser who's as good as he thinks he is. Btw I live in Twickenham - any suggestions?

£65 for cut and blow dry- every 10-12 weeks, and £125 for half head highlights and finish once or twice a year.

nipersvest · 28/10/2012 19:19

£19.50, dry trim with senior stylist once every 2 months

ornellaia · 28/10/2012 19:24

£45 for a cut, £85 to have it coloured & cut (with the salon owner), I'm too poor to even ask about highlights. It's a nice salon in Sheffield, I struggle to find somewhere good because I have curly hair so I don't mind paying more than I would elsewhere.

wornoutbutstillwonderful · 28/10/2012 20:01

£0.00 as I do the MN and I also dye it myself aswell. I do like going to the hairdressers but to be honest the MN cut suits me and sometimes I trim a fringe in especially in the winter I like that quite blunt. I have started experimenting with different colours just recently going from blonde to brunette going to the hairdressers would cost me a fortune.
