Did you regret getting a fringe??

seriously considering having a fringe cut for the first time since I was 12...
If you have taken the jump, did you regret it? Do you wish you'd had it cut sooner? Slightly too scared to do it...please tell me your stories!

NickECave fringes look fine with glasses. I have glasses for reading/computer and they go well with my fringe - it increases that geek chic/sexy librarian look!

Ok, what about glasses and a high forehead? I love the idea of a fringe, but don't want to look like half my face is hair. I have dark, fairly thick, poker straight hair. What ya think?

Fringes are great on high foreheads! Not because high foreheads need hiding, but just because they make fringes look better and you can wear them longer.

Apparently there's nothing wrong with being 50% hair: Indie girls deconstructed :)

Birds - you're convincing me here! Hair appointment booked in a fortnight's time. Hmmmm.

[Ash boots earlier on this week, and now a fringe for the first time in nearly 25 years. Better get off MN ....]

I wear contact lenses most of the time and my fringe suits me like that, but looks dreadful when I wear my glasses, face just looks too cluttered.

I also agree about the rain comment earlier, mine is wavy, I dry it straight but any hint of damp in the air and it all goes wavy / fluffy. On balance I prefer it to not having one but it's not perfect.

My hairdresser comes every 4 weeks. She cuts DH and DS every visit.
Mine and DD fringe every other visit with our hair cut on the alternate (so every 8 weeks).
Fringes do need maintenance.

I now cut mine marginally short for 2 weeks them it grows then hairdresser comes because I prefer rather too short than rather too long.

I love mine, I now have no visible wrinkles on my forehead Grin

When I had short hair I could get away with a lot of variation length wise and could make one cut last 8 weeks. Now my hair is longer the fringe needs to be kept at a very precise length to look OK, I trim it myself every 3 weeks or so.
