I couldnt decide - for work involving walkinkg a fair bit around building and outside sometimes, need to be super comfy. Having a 20% voucher i was looking at these in clarks but i had a niggling doubt - verdict ? these

Teeb · 02/09/2012 19:45

GobblersKnob · 02/09/2012 19:47

arf at them being called 'Funny Dream'.

Fair enough if you are on a 'comfort at any cost, I would even wear crocs, couldn't give a damn about my fugly feet' mission.

Otherwise, no.

Wow my grandad used to wear shoes like that!!

Gimblinginthewabe · 02/09/2012 19:52

I got these www.clarks.co.uk/p/20350770 and they are so comfy! The insides have lots of padding.

noyouhavehadawee · 02/09/2012 19:55

I would fall over and break my neck in anything non flat - i am a bit like Miranda Hart but in real life i am told!

Ha ha ha at the cornish pastie shoes.

I've ordered those dolly ones in black patent, hoping they will bridge the gap between sandal and boot weather.

Romilly70 · 02/09/2012 20:48

Are you not tempted by these beauties?

noyouhavehadawee · 02/09/2012 21:18

too high

Oh god, they are so orthopaedic it hurts to look. Or perhaps the sort of thing that appears on the Saturday Guardian's fashion pages - the stuff worn by the models who look like they're in the middle of enduring bad sex.

commotionintheocean · 02/09/2012 21:26

Who knew, a post on shoes could make me laugh for the first time today! Thanks people Grin

goldface · 02/09/2012 21:54

hahahahaha! what a godawful dream that must have been.

goingmadinthecountry · 02/09/2012 22:00

No. Honestly. I really dislike Clarks anyway as I am far too young - 48 - and loathe and hate their kids' shoes. Startrite or nothing. But these are really the most vile shoes, even for Clarks. Saw a woman on tube in similar yesterday - she looked otherwise pretty OK but my eyes were drawn to her vile vile footwear.

BeehavingBaby · 02/09/2012 22:03

I have them in 2 colours - 1 for work admittedly but still, I do actually like them. And they are soooo comfy.

tethersend · 02/09/2012 22:07

I no longer fear hell.

cahu · 02/09/2012 22:28

They are criminal and I'm getting on a bit, well a lot actually.......

HappyGirlNow · 02/09/2012 22:35

Grin @ tethersend

valiumredhead · 03/09/2012 09:35

I quite like them, in fact my very stylish friend has a pair but not in black, black looks hard and frumpy.

OneOfMyTurnsComingOn · 03/09/2012 09:38

Ahhh, they look like the Polyveldts I had as a kid for school!

UmmOfUmbridge · 03/09/2012 09:42

My dear gran would adore them :)

cocoachannel · 03/09/2012 09:43

We had to wear shoes like that at school until I was about ten. We called them 'Cornish pasties'.

awaynboilyurheid · 03/09/2012 10:10

wee bit off topic but so want a pair of clarks boots this winter could I ask you how you got a 20% off voucher? is there some secret mumsnet code or something ? does any one know?
