Rosehip Oil - awesome and fantastic

I bought some rosehip oil after a recommendation on here (can't remember who by, sorry) and it is fantastic!

Enlarged pores have diminished by about 70%, my skin is clearer, blemishes have toned down, pores are clean and my wrinkles that were starting around my eyes have virtually gone Shock I can't believe it. Skin is soft and clear Smile

I am so happy. I apply it after doing the OCM and some microfoliant every other day. That's all.

Thank you to whoever recommended it Smile

It is great I think I recommended it but not sure who to! Really evens out your face

AnyaJetski · 31/08/2012 19:23

Ooh, thanks for the tip - will give it a go.

Argan oil is great for everything - hair, skin, body, nails. I swear it would do the hoovering if it could. But it's almost ridiculously intense - more so than moroccanoil and other pretenders to the crown. Just a drop is enough.

Silibilimili · 31/08/2012 19:29

Thank you.

hope everyone likes the rosehip oil now that I've gone on about it Grin

I bought the Trilogy one today - hope it works.

ChooChooLaverne · 31/08/2012 20:06

Do you use it instead of moisturiser or as well as?

Also, what oil/s do you use in the OCM?

Thanks.

alisonsmum · 31/08/2012 20:10

ive just bought the triology one from amazon. eekkkk am excited to see my skin improve :)

hiddenhome · 31/08/2012 20:14

With the OCM I just use castor oil. Most people say not to do this (I think they say it's too rich or something) and to combine it with something else, but I tried that and it didn't work for me.

I use the rosehip oil instead of moisturiser. I just massage it in thoroughly after doing the OCM. I do this each night, then just wash my face with warm water in the shower. I don't use anything else on my face.

I use some LOreal face primer then some BB stuff.

I guess you have to find your own combination and routine.

I have been goIng on about but and finally took my own advice and started using it again.
It's been brilliant, cleared skin up and took some redness down.
I also bought some of the Boots botanical sensitive skin serum and am very happy with it. Great price too

ChooChooLaverne · 31/08/2012 20:48

Thanks, might give it a go. I'm not brave enough to use castor oil, think I'll try something else first.

Can't believe I could go without moisturiser in the morning though Shock

Pinot · 31/08/2012 21:01

jojoba oil really dried my palms out

hiddenhome · 31/08/2012 21:02

Castor oil is fine. I never get any irritation or anything and it certainly cleans your pores and gets all the makeup off.

I guess you can still apply moisturiser the next morning if you wanted to. I don't use it as I have oily skin and it just makes things far worse. You can massage in some rosehip oil into your skin in the morning, then rinse with warm water then that will moisturise your skin. Rosehip oil doesn't leave your skin feeling oily ifyswim. It's odd, but it just leaves it feeling soft.

I bet you don't have a wrinkly fizzog though. I would look like a shrivelled prune without something in the morning.

Will go and order. Baaaaa!

chocolatespiders · 31/08/2012 23:37

There is the Rosehip oil and the Trilogy Facial Rosehip Oil + Antioxidant which is more expensive.. Anyone tried the Antioxidant one?

Mintyy · 01/09/2012 13:48

Thanks for the tip ... I have ordered some of the Naissance one as well. Will be very impressed (and astonished) if it can do anything with my awful pores.

Mintyy (hello lovely) this Elemis stuff has zapped my pores. Just two pumps morning and evening, leave on for a couple of mins while I brush my teeth and voila - I'm gone from the surface of the moon to tight pores and smoooooooooooooooothness.

And I speak as one who has awful, awful skin and has tried everything.

TheBuskersDog · 01/09/2012 21:37

Pinot, do you mean you wash your face but don't rinse off for a couple of minutes?

Pinot · 02/09/2012 09:49

Yes - that's it, sorry. Leave it to do it's zappy-pore-thingy for a couple of minutes, then rinse off and admire self in mirror :o Seriously, is fantastic stuff. I've been using a 200ml bottle since March and am about a third of the way down. I use two pumps as I have acne scarring on my neck that it's helping to shift, but if your nice is naice ( Envy ) then just one pump morning and evening - so it'll last even longer.

It's not a cleanser, it doesn't remove make-up, it's a treatment. So cleanse as normal, whatever you normally do, then this treatment.

TheBuskersDog · 02/09/2012 20:10

Oh, a bit confused as the link is to a cleanser/face wash.

Pinot · 02/09/2012 20:17

It's a face wash treatment :) Not a cleanser as such.

WoodlandHills · 02/09/2012 20:54

Is it better than Argan oil for skin?

I have been doing the OCM with 80/20 olive/castor oil then using argan as a moisturiser and it is really good

But am always up for trying new beauty things
