I am getting a pair of converse for my birthday from DH (hooray!) and I can't decide between

A

or

B

Most of my clothes are dark denim, black, pink, white, grey marl or a combination of the above. I live in jeans and t-shirts as I am on maternity leave, so a nice pair of cons seemed like a good idea for mucking about in the park etc in.

The leopard print is because I will be 35 so am having a shoe-based mid-life crisis and want a pair of actual real converse (like da kidz wear, innit) to stop me getting these , which are the most comfortable shoes in the universe and look like straitjackets for the feet of those who have decided that the aesthetics of footwear is a red herring (apologies to anyone who has them, I'm sure they look ace on you but they made my feet, legs and arse look weird, even though they felt gorgeous on). I have no idea what I'd wear them with, but certainly not jeans, which is all I wear. So, not an option. And the black version looks even worse. Sorry, that was a bit of a digression.

Help? A or B?

There's a box from Schuh sitting in my living room, waiting for my birthday and for DH to ask me where we keep the wrapping paper .

A - love em

A.

I would have purchased a pair too but upon emptying my piggy bank there wasn't enough pennies in to buy them. I'll have to make do with a pair from new look which are okay but not as wow. Enjoy.

Haven't read all the messages so don't know if anyone's said this but if you go on the converse website you can design your own. GrinGrin

I know I'm late to this party, but I have some of those double tongue ones, and unless you lace them in a special way with the top tongue folded back then no-one can tell you have them, and it def looks trying too hard.

Just checking in to say I got A and they are bloody lovely.

They are very narrow, though, which I wasn't expecting, more so than when I tried them on in the shop. Anyone else had this? They rub a bit on one foot but it's got less painful so they seem to be wearing in okay.

And they are very gorgeous so I would wear them if they knackered my feet, to be honest.
