I think you are going to have to broaden your horizons. Maybe a shopping trip in London with me... where I can spend your money!!! Grin

meowmix · 28/02/2006 16:37

theres a nice pin tuck dress on ASOS with full skirt in red, white and black I think... well I liked it anyway

nailpolish · 28/02/2006 16:38

Don't like the second link - looks too mcuh like a disco dress. If you wear the first one the way that demi Moore did, with loads of long pearl stirngs, then you could look quite smart.

But why not try the beige dress and see how it looks? You could maybe accessorise it with some a really samrt brightly coloured printed silk scarf. Or if you are a slim 12 (not sure how tall you are - you always chicken out of the Scottish meet-ups! Grin) you could wear it belted tlike Rachel Bilson and accessorise with black. You won't run the risk of it looking like a nighty then.

when i moved to germany,we got asked to a wedding.i didnt know the people as they were all dh's german workmates.i went shopping, and was into my 'black' phase at the time.i got the most gorgeous red chiffon top,and a long black chiffon skirt that was chiffon on the top over a very short black skirt!(the skirt was like a pointy witches skirt!)i felt really self conscious as every one was staring at me!then one of dh's friends came and told me i looked gorgeous, and i felt abit better.at the reception the bride came upto me,and in very broken english she told me taht she thought i looked fab!and that it was nice for her to see someone in non pastels!!

Fimbo · 28/02/2006 16:47

The frayed edge dress in red and those M & S shoes in red perhaps?

Scuse me missus - it can still be nippy in August in Scotland Smile

nailpolish · 28/02/2006 16:47

bugger

they dont have the red one in a size 12

and it only comes in chocolate (yuk) or black otherwise

OP posts:
Fimbo · 28/02/2006 16:49

I think someone is trying to tell you something --Black, black, black.

I am going to make the tea now, bye.

meowmix · 28/02/2006 16:50

and it'd be nice with those M&S shoes in black too.

nailpolish · 28/02/2006 16:50

oh bugger

am just going to leave it just now

its not til august fgs!

will still order the beige one and see what its like

have gone off the red one meowmix - its a shirtdress and the buttons always pop at my boobs on a shirt dress!
