knock yourself out

OP posts:
edam · 08/06/2012 21:12

wow. Can't imagine why it's in the sale - surely every one in every size must have sold out within seconds?!

LetUsPrey · 08/06/2012 21:13

The bleurb that goes with Oracle's dress says:

"Chic and modern, this dress has a floral mirror print. A stylish and striking look. Part of Autograph, a collection of luxurious and timeless wardrobe must-haves featuring premium design and sophisticated styling."

Everything about that is a lie.

caramelwaffle · 08/06/2012 21:13

Make it stop!

SecretNutellaFix · 08/06/2012 21:14

Wow- the dinner ladies at my primary school wore something like that as overalls.

Pathan Grin that thread rocked

If I squint slightly, the overall looks vaguely....60's military?

FoxPass · 08/06/2012 21:16

These threads are so worth the days of M&S ads I get on my browser after clicking the links :o

FunnysInLaJardin · 08/06/2012 21:16

that is beyond vile. I can't think of one body type that would look good on

Francagoestohollywood · 08/06/2012 21:17

Oh bless them. I want to meet a M&S designer now. I want to be a fly on the wall at their meetings. I want a Per Una skirt.

Francagoestohollywood · 08/06/2012 21:18

How can they make the best tuna pate in the world and then those skirts???

crypes · 08/06/2012 21:23

This thread has really cheered me up! Thanks to all those M n' S researchers out there, ive been snorting and chortling like a good 'un.

Lovecat · 08/06/2012 21:25

Can someone tell me what's 'feminine' about a "contrast stripe front" (on that hideous pleated maxi)? Do they mean Emily Howard-style 'feminine'?Confused

LeBOFFY · 08/06/2012 21:26

The Nancy Dell'Olio jumpsuit just screams 'sweaty crotch patch', don't you think?

crypes · 08/06/2012 21:28

Can you imagine wearing the salmon'pate' drawstring shorts if you were larger than a size 8?

crypes · 08/06/2012 21:29

Yea the jumpsuit would need a bucket of Canestan Cream.

Meglet · 08/06/2012 21:31

Maybe some joker has set up a fake M&S page. I'd like to think that is the reason for these hideous clothes, I can't imagine anyone on a production team letting them be manufactured Confused.

Sonotkylie · 08/06/2012 21:31

Thank you. Its raining, blowing a gale, trees are falling down and I am a bit concerned about the roof tiles, oh and I came on here to look up chickenpox symptoms to identify DS rash - but I'm smiling now! Back to job in hand ...

FunnysInLaJardin · 08/06/2012 21:33

LeBOFFY is that you Hmm?

RoxyRobin · 08/06/2012 21:34

MissBee - I was in the changing room queue at M&S yesterday and the woman in front was clutching that very skirt. I was transfixed.

It would have made Kate Moss look ghastly but, without wishing to be sizeist, this lady seemed wider than she was tall. Had urge to say "Your bum will look big in that" but left her to find out for herself.

Are the designers all on drugs? Do they work for Philip Green? I think we should be told.

Queenofcake · 08/06/2012 21:43

Oh my - not sure what to say to be honest but find myself repeatedly clicking to go back and have a look.

Its real isnt it???

M&S really are trying to sell it aren't they??

Just sat here in utter disbelief!!

StrangerintheHouse · 08/06/2012 21:43

Oh this has cheered me up, thanks for all your hard work searching these out.

I think mirror print means that they have made one swirling yuck pattern on the left half and then stuck a mirror down the middle to reflect it onto the right. Yes I have been enjoying these choice items in zoom.

rockinastocking · 08/06/2012 21:44

That dress. With the navy blue - thing - in the middle. Is it really for real? Really?

Fuck me, these are bad on purpose. They have to be.

rockinastocking · 08/06/2012 21:45

I feel like I'm driving past a road accident and I can't stop looking.

The models look utterly pissed off. Almost belligerent.

"Yeah, so?"

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 08/06/2012 21:46

I nearly posted that very dress a couple of weeks ago - and then I decided it would be mean to play 'Point and laugh at the crazy lady in the vile dress.'

But now you've posted it - points / laughs / shouts - 'Oh dear. Look at the crazy lady in the vile dress.'

Wonder how many they've sold?
