Are any Fitflops reasonably stylish/flattering?

I think they look ok on skinny people but for me, size 14, big bosomed, they just make me look chunky. Was wondering if any of the styles would be more flattering as am keen on trying them for comfort.

Anyone got these m.treds.co.uk/product/60899 - they look best of the bunch

No.

They are hideous, but comfy.

You have to make your choices Grin

yellowraincoat · 01/06/2012 23:04

No

They are horrible and bad for your feet to boot.

Cherrypie32 · 01/06/2012 23:11

Hmmm...I knew the answer but can't do lots of walking (like to park, round the zoo etc) in completely flat flip flops, feet ache to buggery Sad. Wouldn't mind such ugly shoes for less money.

I don't care if they are stylish. They are sooooo comfy Grin.

drywhiteplease · 01/06/2012 23:25

Am I an old cynic , but did anyone believe they could get tones legs by simply wearing hideous flip flip type shoes?
Crocs,Uggs, flit flops all unflattering (but v comfy) in my opinion

mirpuppet · 02/06/2012 01:05

Avon does a version that is cheaper and comfortable.

No. and no amount of glitter will ever make them anything but grim

AmberNectarine · 02/06/2012 07:13

Ach, they're not so bad. I've seen people link much uglier things from Fly and Clarks. And they are so bloody comfy. Do what I do and wear them with a maxi...

drywhite I don't believe for a single moment they make your arae look better - I don't think anybody does. What they have done is help my sciatica enormously and they were the only thing I could wear without crippingly pain in pg.

KenNEddieKennedy · 02/06/2012 07:57

I like them. To be fair, there's not a great choice out there if you want to be comfy - I have two pairs full to bursting on the glitter front and I love 'em

chocoroo · 02/06/2012 08:01

No. Unless there are some completely non-ugly ones somewhere that I haven't seen.

dexter73 · 02/06/2012 08:36

I think GobblersKnob is right.

cybbo · 02/06/2012 08:39

No. They are VILE

faustina · 02/06/2012 08:45

actually, they did make a difference to my legs last summer, though I wish i hadn't been able to test the theory quite so much as I did. DP was in hospital for ten weeks, and so I walked down miles and miles and miles of corridors. They were all I wore (I couldn't have walked that much in anything else) - and by the end of it, my legs were more toned.

they aren't pretty although one good thing, if you are vertically challenged is that they give you an extra inch

OTheHugeJubilee · 02/06/2012 08:52

No. Every time I see the glittery ones I think 'sorry, but you can't polish a turd.'

They may be comfortable, but they are also universally hideous.

KenNEddieKennedy · 02/06/2012 09:31

Oh well....you wear what you want to wear and I'll wear what I want.

Everyone's happy! Smile

dexter73 · 02/06/2012 09:35

faustina - maybe it was just all the walking that toned your legs not the fitflops.

anniewoo · 02/06/2012 09:43

I think there are loads of different styles now - non toe -post and some look better than others.....but oh the comfort!

faustina · 02/06/2012 10:35

Dexter, I don't think it was. I've walked miles daily in the past, and my legs never looked like that before!

dexter73 · 02/06/2012 11:19

But even Fitflop don't claim they have any effect on muscles - Please note, our patent-pending Microwobbleboard? midsole technology has been biomechanically engineered and extensively tested for its effect on shock absorption, ground reaction force adjustment and muscle activation. And while we are delighted to hear from wearers who've experienced other beneficial effects, we have yet to complete sufficient research to make claim to them ourselves.

sedgieloo · 02/06/2012 11:38

I wear them, I think they are quite ugly. But kind of love them esp when pregnant (get SPD)
I saw someone with these on and she looked pretty nice in them, but did have long slim tanned legs which helps!

sedgieloo · 02/06/2012 11:38

They are the hooper leather fitflop sandle

Windandsand · 02/06/2012 11:55

No, I think they look terrible! But what do I know, I wear Birkenstocks...

BalloonSlayer · 02/06/2012 11:58

Where do they sell them?

I'd like to see them in real life?
