plain old olive oil, from the kitchen. I have budgie hands & this helps. I recently had a manicure & the girl suggested having olive oil next to the soap, so everytime you wash your hands, a couple of drops on the dry bits. Helps more than handcream. Hands are less budgie like...I have tried ALL the handcream & nothing works for long..best to wear rubber gloves

I'm a hand cream addict, I go through tonnes and tonnes of the stuff and people know I love it so I get lots of different types as pressies. However, I think the best for soft hands and amazing strong nails is:

Boot Hand and Nail Cream £1.99.

I swear, it's brilliant. Dark blue lid, light blue bottle. Try it, try it.

I love Burt's Bees Almond Milk Beeswax handcream

In order to prevent problems DH swears by Dermashield which is a foam that protects and moisturises. Before he was using it his hands were cracked and bleeding in the Winter.

Sorry, took me a while to get back with my workplace wonder handcream but here it is.

Magic stuff Smile

Vaseline Hand & Nail Care (pink tube) works far better than E45, isn't greasy, dries to a nice powdery finish. Used it overnight when hands were painfully cracked, and next morning hands lovely and soft. E45 left my hands greasy but still cracked IYSWIM. Love it, great stuff. I use no other Smile

You can't have too much handcream, I keep it everywhere, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, handbag... never too much! I've bought more based on this thread too!

Not getting on well with many of the above sugestions Sad

I already have the No7 pp one, too greasy, still feel like slippy hands and more rubbung needed hiurs later. Norweigen formula made no difference, tried the pink intensjive care and pink Boots one following rec on previous threads, don't like either. Aveeno one is ok prob one of the ones that I have liked and the soap and glory oine is prob the best (keep that at work as wash my hands before every patient)

I use them as body lotion/on my arms to use them up.

Best thing I have found is flexitol heal balm so going to go to Boots later and see if they do a hand cream.

The quest continues...

When my hands are really dry I use sudocreme overnight and wear those hand mittens. I do the same for feet (wear socks) and it seems to work just fine. During the day I use Vaseline hand & nail each time I wash hands.
