Good luck with the changes!

I have just restarted my get prettier fitter and healthier plan! So hard to stick to. I lost 7 pounds but then got stuck!!

prepschoolreject · 30/03/2012 21:07

Felt shit for a few weeks Grin

Happy to hand hold!

Well done blobtobetter. I had a baby 3 months or so ago and desperately want to look nice. I tried 8 swimsuits today in m&s and would you believe all looked like they contained mrs blobby. I wish I had a flat stomach and smaller bombs. Sad

I'll defo do it.have done diet and fitness regime since 8 jan with great results. All I can say is go for it,keep going, don't give up and you will see amazing results.

megabored · 30/03/2012 21:26

Preschoolrrject, what changes did you make? I am still breastfeeding and find that I really cannot bare to be even a little bit hungry.

blobtobetter · 30/03/2012 21:27

Swimsuit??!! I would need one of those seal costumes like Nigella had!!

I think I get to 1/2 a stone then realise how much I still have to lose and give up. Either that or I drift back into comfort eating!

megabored · 30/03/2012 21:28

Where do I start? Do I skip meals? When will I see results? I started the 30 day shred and did it religiously for 2 weeks and put on 2 pounds. I dont drink, I don't eat meat or any chocolate so really do not know where to cut down.

OP posts:
blobtobetter · 30/03/2012 21:32

Nooooooo don't skip meals!

I am going to start a low carb / Mediterranean / Perricone inspired mix up of a diet. Plus lots and lots and lots of water.

I have a kettle bell dvd and a tracy anderson one so need to work out when to do them. Plus hand weights and a exercise bike. It is just easier to sit in front of the telly with a biscuit or 10.

The shred scares me!!

megabored · 30/03/2012 21:36

I don't want a magic pill but just something where I will see results say in 2 weeks so that I can use that as a motivator to shed more. I can't seem to budge from the shape I am. I used to love summers but last couple of years have really struggled to find clothes tha look good on my matronly boobs and baby baring tummy. (since birth of dc1).

drywhiteplease · 30/03/2012 21:37

blobtrotter is right. Cut out all carbs, eat lots of lean meat, low fat dairy, green veg, exercise ....it will drop off. Don't skip meals, if you are hungry you just won't manage it. I did Dukan, bit extreme for some, but unbelievable results.

blobtobetter · 30/03/2012 21:39

I used to love all the summer dresses but now my legs rub ..... hate it!! Plus upper arms and that bulge over the bra. And the big tummy, fat knees and cankles!

megabored · 30/03/2012 21:42

The meditaranian diet sounds fab. what can you eat and how much of? I don't binge buy I really get hungry about 10pmish Blush and the I eat popcorn or fruit. Have to stop that too. It's not helping.

OP posts:
megabored · 30/03/2012 21:46

The low carb diet probably won't work for me as I'm vegetarian. I eat eggs but on fish, chicken, meat etc. So I need something to help me keep fuller and so
end up eating a lot of wheat or rice in things.

How much have to got to shed blobtobetter? I need to shed atleast 1 stone. I'm short so every pound of weight shows, mainly on my tummy boobs and chin.

I want to lose about 3 stones. Technically I NEED to lose 4ish but that sounds like loads and loads!

megabored · 30/03/2012 21:56

Let's try together than. Technically I can do with loosing more too but small steps...Grin shall we try from tomorrow?

OP posts:
blobtobetter · 30/03/2012 21:58

Tomorrow sounds good! Will have to have a little think about meal ideas ......

I haven't ever been slim as an adult - can't imagine what it would be like which is sort of sad in a way.

megabored · 30/03/2012 21:59

Do you go on bmi or just feel you have to shed 4? I am 67kg and 5.3. Can't seems to be able to get to even 65. Surely that should be easy? I will now go nd look at your link on my Laptop. Thank you.

blobtobetter · 30/03/2012 22:01

I looked for a mid to lower point on the healthy section on a height weight chart. While I would love to be dainty I am working on just not being obese!

I am 5'2.

megabored · 30/03/2012 22:04

As you may be able to tell, I have never dieted before. I used to be able to just work out and look better feel better. But now am hating even having pics taken of me with new dc2 for fear of looking fat again. Let's think positive and help each other.

megabored · 30/03/2012 22:05

My age is not helping things either as I am on the other side of 35 so everything is starting to sag and wrinkle. Grin

Camera phobia - have that!

I tended to do fad diets in the past. Just ended up feeling really hungry and couldn't stick to it! Now I want to be healthy too.

Losing weight should be so simple - eat less calories and do more exercise - yet it is such a struggle for so many people.
