dress on hold is lovely - get that

KristinaGoesWest · 30/03/2012 16:56

@mosschops30: I like the dress, but how it sits will really depend from your body shape. Do you know what shape are you? I am a personal stylist myself and if you need a free private consultation, just pin me a message at [email protected].

KristinaGoesWest · 30/03/2012 16:57

by the way - Zara dress is a better option as you can create a nice curve using the belt :)

jan2011 · 30/03/2012 17:00

i like it nice and summery

mosschops30 · 30/03/2012 17:01

I took a picture of me in it, no idea how to put it on profie though

OP posts:
KristinaGoesWest · 30/03/2012 17:15

mosschops30 · 30/03/2012 17:16

Can't se the pic on your profile Mosschops, but I like your Zara option MUCH better. Much nicer style and colour. Smile

KristinaGoesWest · 30/03/2012 17:25

Nope, can't see the pic :(

mosschops30 · 30/03/2012 18:27

Ok have tried again, please have a look and tell me how it looks on me Smile

be honest, i can take it!

OP posts:
JustHecate · 30/03/2012 18:33

the red one?

You've bought it and you love it. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks Smile

mosschops30 · 30/03/2012 18:38

The zara one i linked to a few posts down. Have also put it on my profile when i tried it on today.

Opinions welcome again Smile

OP posts:
JustHecate · 30/03/2012 18:42

really? Really welcome? But you've already bought it. I feel guilty!

ok. I hate them. I think they are vile.

The pic on your profile - the pink/red dress? Doesn't flatter you at all. You're slim and gorgeous and that dress just doesn't flatter you like it should. I think the cut of it is all wrong.

But that's just my opinion. Loads of people will come on and say they love it, some might come on and say they also hate it. At the end of the day - you're wearing it and it's what you think that matters.

I hope you're not cross with me. I know you said you wanted opinions, but...

mosschops30 · 30/03/2012 18:46

No no, i havent bought it, its on hold. The one in my OP i took back, tried loads on, all short or made for teenagers. Ths one was the only one i liked within price range.

I want you to be honest [smie] id rather everyone say its nasty (like they did last night) than me going out looking like a turd!

Poor ds2 looks bored shitless in the pic too

oh good. For god's sake don't make a fashion choice based on my opinion though! Listen to anyone except me! I am currently wearing a pair of purple wide legged trousers and a pink angel sleeved tunic. I've got no business talking fashion Grin

It's just that - imo - it doesn't look right on you. I didn't open your profile pic and go wow. And the right dress should do that, I think.

JustHecate · 30/03/2012 18:53

Yes. Something slightly longer (I think that something knee length looks far more sexy than something showing thigh. I know. Odd, yes? But it does.) and slightly more fitted, would suit you well, I think.

mosschops30 · 30/03/2012 19:50

There is nothing longer, thats the longest i could get.
I cant carry off all that body con stuff.

Do you like the dress itself? I just want somthng cheap, i wont wear it much, i never go to town, its for one random nite out

OP posts:
jan2011 · 30/03/2012 19:58

i think the dress is nice on you, the colour really suits you.

runningforthebusinheels · 30/03/2012 20:06

I think the colour looks superb on you - I like the dress too. Looks nice on you. (And you do have nice hair) Smile

Possibly, just possibly, the others are right that something more fitted is more flattering, but I honestly think you could do a lot worse.

runningforthebusinheels · 30/03/2012 20:07

Just looked again, and yes, I think really nice. Perfect for a spring night out on the town.

JustHecate · 30/03/2012 20:09

I don't, not really. And I think it's wrong on you. but see - jan thinks it's lovely! We're looking at the same thing and seeing something totally different.

Different people have different views, I think once you start listening to other people, you'll get totally confused Grin

But I think that it's not the best colour for your skin tone and hair colour and, like I said, I think something not so, erm, billowy Grin would look fab.

Can't carry off all that body con stuff? You mean you don't feel confident? You look lovely. You have to believe that.

JustHecate · 30/03/2012 20:10

see - yet more people who think you look fab.

Don't listen to me. I wish I'd not given my pov. Grin Listen to them.

itdoesnthurttohavemanners · 30/03/2012 20:12

Think it's lovely :) If I had nice legs, I'd wear it :)

ameliameerkat · 30/03/2012 20:15

I liked the H&M one, and I think you look very nice in the Zara one!
