catsmama nice hair,nice cat too!

The only problem I have is whilst my hair dresser is an amazing cutter AMAZING he can't do volume and I love volume, always get home and do it again myself. My hair is thick and straight and if you put GHDs anywhere near near it it can look flat and drab.

Clownsarescary · 28/03/2012 15:18

Catsmama that's a nice haircut.

Land lol at the resounding NO! I still like it but I do want length still I've decided.

I've made an appointment for Saturday...

I'm now thinking I'll keep the length and get some layers to 'joosh' it up a bit.

If you go short, make sure the cut will look nice with your face shape.

I don't recommend the emaciation but this is nice imo. However, watch that face shape.

Math that's the one I love, and Land does :), but her dc's like mine said NO but I want looooong enough to pin it up too.

One day 2 1/2 yrs ago I was in gym and suddenly came over all brave.went straight from gym to a hairdresser where a lady I know gets her lovely hair done and made an app with head man (heehee!) right there and then.went back and two hrs later my mid length mum safe bleugh hair had gone and I had my amazing bob.didnt even tell anyone esp DH who came home to a new improved younger looking wife.kids were a bit surprised !
It's your hair, and you're not going to change personality....do it do it!(you can always grow it back again)

My hair is a bit of a nightmare in terms of getting it to take any shape, as it's just so straight. I have a good hairdresser though who knows me and my hair well and can cut plenty of shape into it - I am often complemented on my hair these days! I am 35 by the way....
I had a variation of Posh's bob for a while, but am now aiming for Faye Ripley as per the cover of this month's Good Housekeeping - never done links before so hope this works here

landofsoapandglory · 29/03/2012 10:21

Well I have just got back from the hairdressers, I no longer look like SamCam or my Mum, or mumsy. I have an inverted chin length bob, or 'pob' and I now look like me, only younger.

Before she cut it she tried to persuade me to go short but I couldn't pluck up the courage, there was still a heck of a lot of hair on the floor when she had finished! My DC and DH think I am having it done tomorrow so they are in for a shock when they get home!

drywhiteplease · 29/03/2012 12:31

Oh wow landof bet you look fab!(brave enough to post a pic?)
littledolly I love Faye's hair....am wondering whether to cut a fringe into mine instead of a sweeping fringe which I have one.straight fringe would be bit diff and hide my frown lines...but I have always worried that a straight fringe will make my round face look rounder.
Hmmmm

Clownsarescary · 29/03/2012 13:04

My hair is sort of like Faye Ripley but I'm just bored with it. I have it sort of bouffanted and up in a grip today :)

Sorry, drywhite, can't post a photo, I like being anonymous!

The DSes came in and both liked it, DS2 was more complimentary than DS1. DH came in and started up a conversation, chatted away for a while looking like this Confused, then said "Have you had your hair done? Did you have it done today, or did I miss it earlier in the week?" I mean FFS, I have had about 6 inches cut off the back!Hmm

Clownsarescary · 30/03/2012 14:48

Oh the Ds's liked it then land. completely ignores DH's comments Grin
