high sunblock that is totally invisible and non oily?

I have mild rosacea and quite a few broken veins on face, that seem to be getting worse . I keep reading how the highest factor of sunscreen / block should be worn daily to prevent worsening. Does anyone know of any that is completely undetectable? I have quite oily skin though still get dry patches. Quite large pores so certainly don't want them emphasised.
Any recommendations for a light invisible screen that won't clash with moisturiser/primer/ makeup? (i need the makeup to disguise the redness)

here, i nicked it off dh who has vitiligo on his face so needs really good sunscreen, didn't even know he had it
apparently dermatologist recommended it to him

blabalalalablabla · 24/03/2012 19:41

I have la roche posay too and would recommend, however find it a little bit too oily for my combination skin - they do have a rosacea range though which is supposed to be really good - they may have a sunscreen which complements it?

lololizzy · 24/03/2012 19:43

thanks i might try that. At the moment i use La Roche Posay Rosaliac moisturiser but it's only SPF 15. It's meant be anti-redness and annoyingly it makes no difference whatsoever. I only use it as it's a nice light base for make up. With a strong sunscreen the main thing is it will stop the redness worsening

I used to use Clinique city block, I was going to go back to it as I will be outside a lot more this summer, I looked at their page here and they seem to do quite a few different ones now, the bog standard old one would have done me!

TheBeanAndTheBee · 25/03/2012 08:54

There's a Vichy one, think it goes up to factor 50, really lightweight, just sort of disappears into your skin, didn't make me break out at all. Highly recommend, you also only need a teeny tiny bit (which is good because it comes in a pretty small bottle...)

4aminsomniac · 25/03/2012 09:04

I love Paulas Choice spf45. It really is invisible, and totally non greasy, I have abandoned previous favourites, including Sunsense, for it.

ameliagrey · 25/03/2012 10:57

I still like Clinique City Block, but you do need to remember that anything used under make up and not reapplied is not going to last ALL day!

cybbo · 25/03/2012 11:05

I'm wearing Mac primer spf50 as recc'ed on here and I have to say it's fabulous

Kept me matt and lovely all day in the sun yesterday

Am oily/maturing blah blah blah

PastGrace · 25/03/2012 11:14

I always recommend Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour suncream. It's non-greasy and sinks in quickly.

LucyManga · 25/03/2012 11:28

I got this from Amazon, arrived in 24 hrs and I am impressed.

monkeysmama · 25/03/2012 12:27

I really like the Elizabeth Arden one too. I bought it cheaper on plane last year iirc.

LesserOfTwoWeevils · 25/03/2012 14:51

There's a good Neutrogena one?ultra-sheer dry touch.

itdidntworkout · 25/03/2012 16:34

Roche posay 50+.

Brilliant!

ggirl · 25/03/2012 19:00

baaaaaa.... think i may get the mac one as it's a primer as well

cybbo · 25/03/2012 19:01

It really is v v v good.

Also meant to tell you AM LOVING Dermalogica Skin Resurfacing Cleanser. Has deffo made pores smaller and fewer. Has lactic acid in.

ggirl · 25/03/2012 19:03

so you're gonna double acid your face!!

ggirl · 25/03/2012 19:03

dermalogica - i need a mortgage for that stuff don't I?

cybbo · 25/03/2012 19:05

No not really, its cheaper on Purebeauty website

Will cut back on the lactic acid on the days I get the other stuff on (which still hasnt come btw)

Glittertwins · 25/03/2012 19:06

Riemann P20. Put it on first thing and let it absorb. No stains and no burns even on very fair skin.
