I have mild rosacea and quite a few broken veins on face, that seem to be getting worse . I keep reading how the highest factor of sunscreen / block should be worn daily to prevent worsening. Does anyone know of any that is completely undetectable? I have quite oily skin though still get dry patches. Quite large pores so certainly don't want them emphasised.
Any recommendations for a light invisible screen that won't clash with moisturiser/primer/ makeup? (i need the makeup to disguise the redness)

Hmm, I didn't read that properly. Not sure how well it works with rosacea as I've never put it on my face, sorry.

I have rosacea and sometimes use the anthelios, but find that my foundation melts sometimes on that. I order the Neutrogena dry touch spf50 on ebay I think it was £7 - brilliant also as a primer (and recommended by my personal deity, Lisa Eldridge). Skin is very calmed down with the neutrogena one on.

Should also mention I am a pale skinned redhead who can burn through clothes

i might try the primer as i really want makeup to stay put all day and not reapply anything as I really don't have time. The only thing I retouch during day is a bit of mattifier on top of everything if I get a spare sec

I was out in Florida last summer for the World Dragon Boat Racing Champs. We had to train on open water in the heat of the midday sun. I was terrified of burning but I bought some factor 50 Australian Gold and didn't even get a tan!! Grin

Another vote for MACs prep + prime SPF 50. My skin sounds quite similar to your OP and this is fab, acts as primer and sunscreen.

Do Boots stock the Neutrogena one?

pluckingupcourage · 25/03/2012 23:13

No BarryShitpeas I've only found it on amazon and ebay. Neutrogena has a massive range in the US but not in Europe it seems (grrr) so you get some imports on the uk ebay (or you could order it from the US on ebay). On the plus side the US is super strict on spf claims so at least you know what you're getting and it also works out cheaper than many UK brands - I ordered some this week on ebay and it worked out at just over £7 for a big tube and it arrived next day.

Thanks, will go to ebay.
