I have used the oil cleansing method on and off but have recently stopped as I got fed up with the oil getting in my hair. It did not change my skin however as it is already quite good so was not expecting to see any difference.
I have however just read this
www.cosmeticscop.com/the-oil-cleansing-method-for-oily-skin.aspx
and I completely agree with it, especially about steamimg your face. I love this web site as it gives unbiased reviews on just about anything and I find myself spending hours reading them!!!
So, no more ocm for me....clinque comforting cleanser seems to be one of the most highly rated cleansers so I am now off to the Clinique counter!!!

Actually IsabelleRinging, I've done this just out of curiosity and guess what? The oil got rid of everything and there was no mark on the cotton wool pad with Simple toner.

Different strokes for different folks. Maybe your skin has weird, foundation absorbing properties...

WTF is OCM? isn't it that Japanese company that where around ages ago telling you to what was it...... use a cleanser then wash your face with mild soap and then put oil on it, then wipe off the oil with cotton wool?.

If so I had 4 free samples from them at the time and thought it was all pointless and stupidly expensive. I'd been happily washing my face with baby soap and then moisturising with bio/rescue oil for years, before they came along claiming they invented the wash your face and then moisturise technique. pffffft.

If it's not that then what is it?.
