Dilys Ive seen them in Topshop (Im too old for that, but have seen them in the window)

RedwingWinter · 21/02/2012 21:21

Dilys, Isabel Marant did some nice merino xmas-style leggings last season, so they did them in Paris too. Obviously it depends if they suit you and how you wear them ... I do struggle not to stare when people wear leggings with short tops.

DilysPrice · 21/02/2012 21:45

Oh I see, it was one designer's mad idea that got ripped off wholesale by all and sundry. Less edifying. Still interesting to see how these things catch on though.

I'm surprised at Devon being full of Paul's Boutique wearers, I don't think we even have any of his shops. Ol' Paul's I mean. Maybe in Plymouth.
The rest of the county are either wearing their 40 year old Barbours (complete with manky dead pheasant and blue baler twine in place of the zip)

I've seen LOADS of girls wearing the Christmas leggings though. A mistake for anyone over seven, I feel.

CotherMuckingFunt · 21/02/2012 21:56

I drove past my old school today and saw a girl wearing suede effect leggings with an above-the-bum jumper. She looked like she had pissed herself where the 'suede' had smooshed from sitting.

And then I went to London and saw the tiniest of tiny (figure-wise) girls wearing Christmas jumper leggings and managing to make their legs look fat and their bums look wobbly. Why???

Pitufina · 23/02/2012 14:46

I saw one of the dads at school wearing one of those quilted jackets (with belt!), I don't understand!!!

They now do them in lots of colours, not just the dull green and putrid brown! you can now get them in Pink. Crazy!

NoComet · 23/08/2012 15:44

I live in the sticks and constantly jump in and out the car. Light weight quilted jackets are great, simply slightly more fashionable fleeces. Also lots of horses and dogs round here so they look right.

I have a cheap Sainsbury's one (with as my 14y DD puts it Chavy gold zips), I'd love a decent Barbour or Joulse (sp) one.

Nordic leggings, PB tat and wobbly buns and back coming that girls are constantly repinning I do not get!

NoComet · 23/08/2012 15:45

Back combing

Shodan · 23/08/2012 17:09

Those Nordic leggings look they'd itch.

Mind you, I'm half-tempted to get them so I can threaten ds1 with my wearing them out in public with him if he doesn't do his laundry...

Your all describing my 8 year old dd's fashion fantasies! She spots pauls boutique jackets on older girls and gets really excited, I got her a cheap version for her birthday she was so excited she wanted to sleep in it!

Have beetlejuice leggings cropped up yet? Thick black and white vertical striped ones? very popular where I am, worn with high tops.
