What can I replace my Janice dress with

My lovely grey Janice dress from Phase 8 is no longer and i cant find anything as flattering. I'm tall and appleshaped 14 with good legs. I loved the material and the drape accross the tum. I've seen the VW anglomania ones but want something a bit cheaper, that I can wear with a jacket or a cardigan to cover wobbly arms.

Looked in Phase 8 but they have nothing similar and nothing on ebay.. I should have bought more when i had the chance. Is there anything similar around at the moment?

Gillybobs - I've got that Phase eight one in the burgundy colour (it was my Christmas day dress and I paid full price Angry). It is nice but a bit too "woolly". The jersey fabric on the janice (and the H&M one) feels a bit more casual and washes better.

peggyblackett · 17/02/2012 08:36

bambootoo, I have a Phase 8 Janice dress which I'm selling, hardly worn, size 14. Having a clearout as I have many pregnancy pounds to lose, so doubt I'll be wearing it this summer :(. PM me if interested.

Pharoahnuff · 17/02/2012 09:53

Peggy. I'll have it. On phone. Can't dm. Can you do me ;)

noddyholder · 17/02/2012 10:16

I really recommend you try on some of the new shapes with less fabric you will feel tiny!

Sparklegeek · 17/02/2012 10:40

Shotgun I have that spotty DP dress on order, should arrive today, really hope it looks nice as it's lovely! I ordered that & another one & ahem pretended to be a student to get the 25% discount Blush

Gillybobs · 17/02/2012 10:49

Tilly I figured it would feel wooly, Im actually planning to wear to work and my office is freezing or Im out and about so that might work well for me. Was too much of a bargain at £25 (plus 6% quidco cashback) to ignore. Oh, and free delivery. It would have been rude not to try! Grin

Pharoahnuff · 17/02/2012 11:11

Havevyou tried this nod? It is a very sheer jersey.
Besides I gave corporate jolly in Paris coming up

trixymalixy · 17/02/2012 13:09

How do you get the DP student discount?

Sparklegeek · 17/02/2012 14:41

There's a box that comes up & you enter any 20 digit number in as your NUS number, gives 25% off :)

HipHopOpotomus · 17/02/2012 14:48

take your original dress to dress maker and ask her to reverse engineer you a replacement?

HipHopOpotomus · 17/02/2012 14:48

(its very nice - I can see why you want another)

FunnyLittleFrog · 17/02/2012 15:59

I bought the H&M one today but it was full price in store! Still, only £15 and I love it so pretty bargainous really. I'm 5 foot 8 inches and it's just above the knee. Fairly thick drapey material, v flattering. BTW, the '10-12' fits me fine and I'm a good size 12.

theladylovescupcakes · 17/02/2012 16:58

Hey sparklegeek, thanks for the heads up about the dorothy Perkins discount!

bambootoo · 19/02/2012 15:22
