I am keen to wear more dresses, have been rotating a couple of knitted day ones recently but am getting a bit bored. Am a curvy, busty 14 with a toddler - anyone in same boat and manage to pull off the ultra feminine stylish day dress and where are yours from?

I have switched to an all dresses wardrobe. So much easier than worrying about what goes with what. Boden wrap dresses are my core, thrown on with vest top and flat riding/biker boots. Then phase eight, Fenn Wright Mason and White Stuff (but have to be careful with the first two to weed out the mumsy stuff).

Love that Boden one, but had some like that from them last year and they were very clingy, could see all bra straps and lumpy bits, if you are between sizes maybe go larger.

New look are quite good for more floaty day dresses, I wear dresses all the time as I cannot find trousers or jeans that fit. I wear them with boyfriend cardis and my very beautiful grey doc martins

Actually New Look have a whole range of slinky more body con dresses which are a good mid length

I wear dresses all the time. My staples are from Tesco, dorothy Perkins and Sainsburys.

I live in Hobbs dresses and also some Marks and Spencers ones which I got for some work experience placements in a primary school. The M&S ones get as many positive comments as the Hobbs ones, and were about a third of the price.

Had a look online and none of the ones I have are in stock any more, but there are some nice ones.

Laredoute are good, and are always sending through 20 and 30% off codes.

I have loads of French Connection dresses in this style (wrap-look, soft flary skirt). They wash easily and can be dressed up or down and layered. They bring out different prints and colours all the time and older ones often go in the sale, sometimes marked down to very low prices (I often find better bargains in-store than online though). One thing to be aware of is that the length of them varies a lot considering they basically all look like the same dress; I have one that is the same dress, same size, just in two different colourways, and one is a good few inches longer.

The French Connection jersey dresses are my favourite. So flattering and good quality. I've bought a couple from eBay.

Love the FC one - normally I would never look there. I to want to transform my wardobe to a dress only one as since having DD I just cannot find/wear any trousers or jeans recently that look half decent.

Try Manteray in Debenhams. Really nice, esp. if like me you are nowhere near a white stuff or fat face!

COS is brilliant and there are still a few nice ones in the sales. Also like Whistles. Will also second ASOS.

Another one for Mantaray at Debenhams. They're White Stuff look-a-likey, but good quality thick jersey, very flattering.
A couple from Monsoon (beware 'though, of shrinking in the wash), and also Dorothy Perkins (found amongst more "teen ageing" stuff).

Yes, Monsoon has a great selection at the mo. Also M&S occassionally do great ones at about £35 in their work section (although most of it is grim).

I love the H&M one too, but...knee length? Really? It looks several inches above the model's knees...

Be careful of thin jersey as it can be abit clingy and show every bump and bra strap, so look for thicker jersey and esp ones that are lined.
Monsoon, betty jackson at debenhams, joules, oasis, h&m (but often thin jersey which shrinks abit), phase eight, whistles, french connection, zara are all good.
