The ones where you know you'll almost always find something you like, where you buy things that you wear time and time again? Just wondering if everyone has different ones or if a lot of us have the same favourites - also want to know if I'm missing out on any great ones!

Uniqlo, impossible to leave there without buying something.
Next Blush
Desigual - love their summer dresses and tops
River Island, it gets slated on her but I can always find something in there.

Cherrypie32 · 31/01/2012 12:30

Gap but only go in when I have a discount voucher which makes for great value Smile

floralsanddresses · 31/01/2012 12:33

Primark. Cheap, not great quality most of the time (I have things that cost about £20 that have held up for five or so years) but I will always find something I like there.

Warehouse.

Oasis.

New Look.

salamanda · 31/01/2012 12:35

aah, Uniqlo, yes! I always forget about them as I don't live near any of their shops, so can only buy online. But I've had some great things from them in the past.

I know River Island does get slated sometimes...but I also often find things I like in there - you just have to wade through all the logos and weird stuff. They have some great jeans and cute jumpers.

Never heard of Desigual, will check them out.

Cherrypie I always expect to find something in Gap, because it always looks lovely, and end up leaving disappointed. The sizing is weird and all their dresses are too long.

The shops that never fail me are Topshop and Whistles - I've only ever bought one full price thing from Whistles, a gorgeous printed tea dress for a wedding, but their sales are always amazing.

Zara
H&M

RatDesPaquerettes · 31/01/2012 12:46

Mainly shop online at the Pure Collection

VivaLeBeaver · 31/01/2012 12:47

Like Monsoon, although has gone down hill slightly over the last couple of years. Absolutely love Karen Millen and find their clothes fit really well, only in the sale though!

LadyBeagleEyes · 31/01/2012 12:52

I also like River Islands, their jeans are perfect for me and they do nice tops.

gilmoregirl · 31/01/2012 13:08

I agree with cherrypie - love Gap but only with the 30% off or in the sale. The sizes fit me well but I am tall and a "generous" 12!

Also like Dorothy perkins and white stuff / fat face (again in sale or if have a voucher)

Like Zara until I try things on and realise I am an extra large!

Astronaut79 · 31/01/2012 13:09

Asda. Their size 12s can be a bit big and aimed at short people, but when something does fit, it works. HAd loads of compliments on a knee-length, sleeveless work shift dress thingy I bought a while back.

Peacocks.

Dorothy Perkins too, surprisingly. I'm getting old.

SianBB · 31/01/2012 13:11

Whistles, Top Shop, Reiss and more recently Mango.

Having waved goodbye to my 20s of late, these all offer 'age appropriate' attire Grin

AWimbaWay · 31/01/2012 13:14

Jigsaw for knitwear, French Connection for jeans and trousers, Gap for t-shirts.

animula · 31/01/2012 13:14

I'm on a mission to raise awareness of Comptoir de Cotonniers.

At the moment I covet the flat ankle boots and the suede zip jacket.

Other than that I love Gap & topshop. And Muji.

SianBB · 31/01/2012 13:17

Animula I love Comptoir de Cotonniers!

But sadly do not live anywhere near a shop and (last time I checked) you couldn't buy online...

stressedoutwomen · 31/01/2012 13:18

i like monsoon a little expensive but its nice to invest in a 1 piece rather than somthing that dosen,t last long.
topshop
newlook
catwalk

salamanda · 31/01/2012 13:24

animula - your mission has kind of worked! I was already 'aware' of CdC as I always love the stuff in their adverts, but now they are going on my list of places to try :)

Love Mango SianBB - but UK Mangos are often oddly disappointing with loads of black and work-oriented styles I find. Russian and Czech Mango OTOH is amazing! Not that I go there often.

Boden
Whistles
Coast
Joules

NoWayNoHow · 31/01/2012 13:27

I will always find somethin in H&M without fail - I think their clothes manage to be stylish and well-priced without making me look like mutton dressed as lamb. TBH, I would look utterly ridiculous in most current fashions a la Top Shop.

I also love Primark - most of the clothes I own that I've had for more than a few years have been from there, and they've held together really well with countless washes.

salamanda · 31/01/2012 13:28

Also quite getting into Reiss now I'm nearly 30. Their sizing is mental though.

OP posts:
salamanda · 31/01/2012 13:30

NoWay I used to LOVE H&M with a passion, until I moved and my local H&M is appalling - so untidy and dark that I never go in anymore! Its such a shame as they are def stylish, cheap, quite good quality and non-muttony.

My favourite is Phase Eight and I like M&S so that makes me officially old and dull???

salamanda · 31/01/2012 13:38

No it doesn't ooher :) Anyway, I've recently decided that only once you are over 80 can you be considered old. And maybe not even then, as my grandma is 93 and in possession of more marbles than the rest of the family put together.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 31/01/2012 13:41

Reiss - sometimes.

French Connection.

Top Shop.
