here

Elle Mcp looks like she's in a wedding dress as does kate beckinsale, don't like Angelina's, not even sure about Kate Winslets..

Personal favs are Jessical Alba & Heidi Klum.

Am I the only one to look at these ladies and feel sad that over half of them are so gaunt and skinny and look like they have some kind of eating disorder - this really shouldn't be what people grow up aspiring to

KingofHighVis · 17/01/2012 07:38

Brad Pitt's trousers are far too long. Do you think he borrowed the suit?

SearchSquad · 17/01/2012 09:53

Angelina looks blood thirsty and Brad looks like a peepaw - Don't like their look at all

Madge - Love her unusual dress and the lovely green shade. Didn't like her on stage though. Her acceptance speech & mannerism reeked of self importance

Kelly O - Boring and dreadful. Even the grey hair is predictable and boring

Charlize Theron & Emma Stone - Best dressed IMO

Kate Winslet - Am I the only one who found her a bit frumpy. Arms did not do justice to the sleeveless dress

Nicole Kidman - Stylish but boring

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 17/01/2012 10:02

I don't like Nicole Kidman's norks in that dress ? too low and separated.
LOVE Angelina's look. I don't think it looks scary or is dominatrix-like at all. Think she looks like a goddess.
Kate Winslet is beautiful and curvy but that frock makes her look dreadful. Quite an achievement.
Emma Stone terrible. Too old for her. Don't mind the colour, but coupled with heavy pleats it's a 70s nightmare.
Salma Hayek's frock looks cheap and nasty.
Madonna ? a state. Put your hair up, please. And don't try to dress like Helena Bonham Carter unless you ARE Helena Bonham Carter.
Rooney Mara too pale and thin for such a heavy dark dress.
Love Natalie Portman's dress. Nice to see her going grown-up for once ? was sick of all the frothy girly princess things.

NeldaAufwader · 17/01/2012 10:31

Dianna Agron looks stunning, Colin Firth looks delicious, I want to be Emma Stone.

MarshaBrady · 17/01/2012 10:39

Emma Stone looks amazing. Although I have no idea who she is. Great colour, eyes look amazing.

Charlize, Heidi and Elle look 'radiant'. Their dresses are nice colours, not perfect but they look good.

Nicole too vase-like.

switchtvoffdosomelessboring · 17/01/2012 10:46

I find it quite funny that despite having loads of money, a entourage of people to dress them, do their hair and make up, cook and clean for then, personal trainers to get them fit , they still manage to pick some god dam awful dress.

Angelina, I'll swap places with you, you look after my kids, go to my work and I'll have your life. I bet I can pick a better dress and I'll make sure Brad gets rid of that god awful beard, wears some trousers that fits and get a haircut.

I like Michelle Williams: love the colour and texture, like the sleeves and simple round neck.
Romola Garai too has a simple round neck, contrasting textures, a good best and pockets!
Tilda Swinton, I love the jacket, wonderful colour on her and again nice contrast of textures. But I can't say I like her in that fishtail skirt.

All these three look different and individual -- and lovely.

niminypiminy · 17/01/2012 11:02

I agree NewYearEverything. Kelly Osborne's look reminded me that fashion is also about dressing up and having fun and not giving a damn. And I also liked the yellow dresses.

All those semi-bridal whites, girly girly dresses on women with plastic faces. Yuk!

Chubfuddler · 17/01/2012 11:22

Love mila kunis and Jessica alba. Thd rest are terrible.

AbsofCroissant · 17/01/2012 11:27

I don't think Mila Kunis looked as good as she did last year - but she did look totally ossum at everything, so it's tough to beat.

Sofia Vergara looks fabulous, but how could she not, with that figure?

Natalie Portman looked gorgeous, but again, it's like shooting fish in a barrel

Charlize - meh

I don't think the pale dresses really work on the red carpet. People end up looking washed out.

Evan Rachel Wood looked like a cross between a fish and a peacock, but in a good way

Viggio Mortensen looked like Alan Alda. It was weird.

JosieRosie · 17/01/2012 11:53

Well I'm going to buck the trend and say that I loved Kate Winslet's dress! I thought it was elegant and suited her beautifully Smile

Don't understand the fuss about Angelina's, I thought it was 'quite nice' at best

Helen Mirren, Evan Rachel Wood, Michelle Williams, Emma Stone - absolutely stunning all of them

Natalie Portman and Laura Linney looked like they were wearing Quality Street wrappers, shame as they are both so lovely looking

Emily Watson is so beautiful, has perfect skin and lovely blue eyes - such a shame about her dress

Jane Fallon looked amazing - flattering dress, lovely tan and nice up-do

DoesNotGiveAFig · 17/01/2012 12:48

I think kelly osbourne looks fab and has a lovely figure.

DoesNotGiveAFig · 17/01/2012 12:48

Angelina looks too thin.

Francagoestohollywood · 17/01/2012 13:08

The only dress I really like is Mila Kunis'. The others are meh.

Francagoestohollywood · 17/01/2012 13:09

Oh yes, the other one I liked is Emma Stone's.

racingheart · 17/01/2012 14:53

Emma Stone's is my favourite - she just looks beautiful.

Loved Angelina's dress but thought her v skinny tattooed arms looked a bit heroin-chic - not my taste at all.

Helen Mirren - gorgeous.

icapturethecastle · 17/01/2012 15:24

Nicole Ritchie's hem looks like I took it up. Maybe its the material but it makes it look cheap.

Angelina looks like the evil queen in snow white.

Anyone going to watch Fashion Police tonight at 6

Matsikula · 17/01/2012 15:40

For those that are wondering, Emma Stone was in Superbad (what? You aren't all watching films aimed at overgrown teenagers?) also in Easy A, a high school comedy based on the Scarlet Letter. But I think her big film at the moment is 'the Help'.

Thought she looked fab, as did Heidi Klum. Frieda Pinto's dress also a beautiful colour on her, but maybe she is just a bit too petite for that big skirt.

Also like Evan Rachel Woods and Clare Danes.

I think it's time Rooney Mara stopped dressing like Lisbeth Salander. Yes, we get it, you got the part, and you went a bit method....

madammecholet · 17/01/2012 16:06

YAY - my first ever thread to make it onto 'Discussion of the Day'!! :)

OK OK So I picked a certain banker, but 2 years of hard posting slog, I had to cheat!

Jessicaalbastwin · 17/01/2012 16:13

My faves. Jessica Alba and Charlize theoron.

Kayzr · 17/01/2012 18:44

I've just worked out who Stacy Keibler is. She used to be a wrestler, its been bugging me for a few weeks now. My brother used to watch it when we were teenagers.

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 17/01/2012 18:56

Mila Kunis- can't see the attraction...she doesn't have a waist.

Angelina- looked beautiful. Shame about the tattoos. And the bloke with her.

Jessica Alba- played it safe as usual. Still don't get her appeal.

Kelly Osbourne- looked okay. I don't think the dress is terrible. Well done for losing the weight.

Lea Michelle- Not sure about this. Very sexy, but I wouldn't have worn that to the Golden Globes. She's gained a bit of weight, but looks good with it.

Kate Winslet- looks dumpy in that pic, but looked good on the show.

McPherson- still got a rocking body, but the dress is a bit OTT. Cringed a bit when all Guliana asked her was questions about diet and exercise.

Portman- beautiful as usual.

Beckinsale- Envy
