enid, both my sil's swear by those masai barefoot nonsense ones...even though they look like breezeblocks on your feet they claim they'd never wear another pair

Don't feel qualified to comment on this thread - I'm still reeling from the time my geeky fencing trainers were mistaken for state-of-the-art ninja-type footwear

katierocket · 12/01/2006 09:49

I have those Onitsuka trainers - but in white and brown. Very nice./

Enid · 12/01/2006 09:51

I need to find somewhere in West London that does them...

No honestly cod I really like them. You said that about my bronze pointy flats as well I seem to remember

I bought a pair of Sketchers when I was pg, very comfortable.

Unfortunately they are too big for me now so they were a waste of money. Do feet grow when you are pg?

Enid · 12/01/2006 09:59

yes they spread apparently (I think only in first pg though)

It might be a bit of a gamble just to hope you'll find them in a shop - I would've thought you'd stand the best chance of getting the ones you want somewhere around the Oxford St area. There's a Sole Trader on High St Kensington that might do them, or maybe you could find some in Notting Hill/Portobello area, or the Kings Road? I think I'd just order them online ...

Enid · 12/01/2006 10:51

yes I think I will

I agree with Cod, think the yellow shoes are a bit scary. Although I really like them in nubuck here or red here .

I would also be wary about the feet growing in pregnancy thing. My feet didn't change at all when pg with DS1 but when pg with DS2 they got half a size bigger and I bought new shoes whilst pg and just after he was born, by the time DS2 was six months old the shoes were too big for me as my feet had returned to more or less their normal size (think they are just slightly bigger than they were before).
