I'm not going to say what I am, because I don't want people being kind Grin I genuinely want S&Bers views on what is a nice weight for my height. My frame is small/medium and I have natural (i.e. before fat!) boobs and hips. Thanks!

This was a zombie thread, reopened by a young woman who sounded concerned.

Micah, I'm currently around 10.7 (losing the baby weight) and aiming to get below 10 stone.

I don't find it easy to maintain at all!

The only thing that works is low carb, high fat, high veg.

If I ate what I wanted I'd be 14 stone.

A pp said that all the weight goes on her face : I'm the same. Face and thighs for me.

imjessie · 23/05/2017 17:26

I'm super bloomin heavy ! 5 foot but I weigh over 11 stone ( I am dieting) but the weird thing is that I'm never any bigger than a size 12 , mostly a ten . I'm hourglass and have a small waist . Not sure why I'm so heavy except that I rode a lot when I was young so I think I have a lot of muscle . 😬..... my ideal weight is around 9.7 but then I'm a small 8

ForFSake · 23/05/2017 23:24

I'm 5'3 and weigh 8st 3lbs, if I go anything above 8st 5lbs I look and most definitely feel fat.

I'm exactly the same as another poster who said any weight gain goes straight to their face. Honestly, if you see my body in photos, at 8st-8st 3lbs, I look very skinny (small frame) and my face, at certain angles looks fine. Anything above 8st 5lbs...honestly I just look hideous.

It's worrying really as I haven't had any children yet and I really worry about what I'll look like when pregnant/ after children Sad

I have to be fairly careful about what I eat (still eat slot of junk though to be fair Blush) and how much exercise I do in order to stay at 8st 3lbs or below.... how the hell am I going to manage to maintain it when I get older Shock

I'm 13 and I'm 5 ft 5 but I weigh 6 and a half and I have been for a while with no change Confused

neveradullmoment99 · 29/07/2017 11:22

I am 5ft 5 and around the 10 stone mark - I never weigh myself as minor increases/fluctuations get me down so I have tossed my scales out. I kind of tell by my clothes if i need to lose weight and I am a happier person for it. Anway, I believe it all depends upon the individual. You do NOT sound overweight to me. You sound just right. I looked dreadful at anything 9stone or less. It very much depends upon how and where you carry the weight.

PhyllisWig · 29/07/2017 13:15

I have just reached a healthy bmi for the first time in adulthood so am now 10 stone 1. Am over the moon tbh. New weight sees me as a 12 in most shops so far but the odd 14 for bottoms and the odd 10 for tops (got a size 10 blazer in H&M sale which fits body but doesn't do up over boobs).

Hourglass shape - 28.5 inch waist, 39/40 inch hips and 32f boobs. Squidgy mum tum. Thighs like a fucking carthorse.

I can easily see where another stone could come from but I'm planning on trying to maintain here, between 10 and 10 and a half so around bmi of 25. It used to be 37 so I'll take that.

Next project is to work on fitness. It's ok but needs to be better.

Sorry for posting on an old thread, but I googled the same thing and was brought here. I am 5ft 4 and currently 9 stone 10. I was 14 stone 7 in July last year so happy with my weight loss but confused about when to stop, or even if I should stop, as I basically am losing a pound or just under each week following a healthy eating pattern. I fit size 12 but can fit a size 10 except for around my bust, I was very small chested until I went on the pill and then had 3 children, I went from a AA to a 44DD, My bust is now 38D, my waist is 31 and my hips 41 but my stomach still has a bit of fat, luckily I did the pinch test and its not loose skin which means the slow weight loss has helped prevent lots of loose skin as all my weight was on my stomach (hence developing diabetes and taking action)

I am 58 and post menopausal so realise my weight should maybe be higher than in my teens, I was a size 8 and weighed 7 stone 10 at the age of 17 but went up to a size 24 over my life so no its not realistic to get that low (plus my neck and face look a little more haggard)

Shall I just carry on eating a low carb (under 130g a day) lots of veg and protein forever, or should I eventually add more calories. I eat between 1400 and 1600 calories a day, a typical day would be yoghurt and berries for breakfast plus a benecol, Lunch would be a soup and low carb roll with some cheese, dinner would be something like, turkey chilli with brown rice, green veg (lots) and then on top I have snacks of cashew nuts, chicken etc. I have noticed I am not hungry and each day wake up a little slimmer, which is fine, as long as I am OK eating like this forever. I mean a size 12 is half what I was and I really dont think my boobs are going anywhere so a size 10 will never be on the cards again...more importantly I am in remission now.

Jenasaurus · 13/04/2023 11:44

I should say, my reason for googling this is because my family and friends tell me to stop losing weight as I am now OK and no longer have health issues, but I have a fear of losing control as I am either addicted to losing or addicted to food and I know how that ends.

Jenasaurus · 13/04/2023 11:50

In this photo you can see why my boobs are an issue.

ShowOfHands · 13/04/2023 13:49

Congratulations on your weight loss.

In terms of when to stop, you move from dieting to a healthy lifestyle. A good diet and sufficient exercise will support a healthy weight and you shouldn't need to count calories or restrict things once you've reached this situation.

I'd get your bra size sorted out too which makes a big difference. If your waist is 31 inches and you're a size 10/12, there's no way your band size is 38 inches. 7 inches bigger than your waist?! Try the boob or bust website and measure yourself again.

DessertGate · 13/04/2023 21:20

It is different for every person.

My mum was 5ft 4", a size 10-12 and weighed 7 and a half stone.
When I was a size 10 and 5ft 4", I weighed 9 and a half stone.

A few months ago I weighed 12 stone; as I said, I am 5 ft 4". I was a size 14. I am now on a diet as I am miserable at this weight. My target weight is 65kg (10 stone ish) and I am at my most healthy looking when I get here. I am usually a 12 on top, 10 on the bottom. I have always been heavy, but it is irrelevant to me. It is more about what clothes fit.

I do weight training and exercise and have a lot of muscle. I also have massive boobs, 34F. If I didn't have them I reckon I would weigh at least a stone lighter instantly.

DessertGate · 13/04/2023 21:21

Go to John Lewis or M&S and get a bra fitting appointment.

Codlingmoths · 13/04/2023 22:31

Hmm. I’m that height and I’m 9 stone, and carrying a super annoying few kg of baby weight I’d like to lose (my baby is over 12 months op!) But I don’t think I look bad, ie others wouldnt call me overweight, and also I have a small frame, small bones and head and am generally a small person. So anyone with a slightly bigger frame should weigh more and still look good.
