What you wear on Christmas Day?

Do you wear anything special/make a special effort?

We will have x-mas next week as my dh and dd are ill. Have horrible cold and keep sneezing and koughing... X-mas spirit flew out of the window this year completely. I gave up trying to make everything perfect. They are not even in the mood to appreciate anything. So I will open a bottle and watch my favorite videos while they are sleeping. I think even presens will be left for few days later, nobody would enjoy them anyway.My mood is slowly sinking as I like x-mas very much and can not enjoy it as much as I would like.

I try to make an effort and I always try to wear something that I got as a pressie ...
So today (1.15pm xmas day in NZ) I am wearing new dark grey with pink trim board shorts, a new dark pink t-shirt, flip flops (not new but sparkly ones!), new pink lipstick and new perfume that DH got me as a surprise! (The rest I bought for myself and wrapped myself! I am Santa in this house!)
Sounds a bit casual but this is NZ afterall!

I have jeans and a pink top and my slippers on - but I have enormous sparkly earrings on that ds "bought" for me, so I think that evens things up. I would have got more dressed up if anyone was coming around, or if we were going out. But I think jeans are perfect for all the unpacking and hotwheels construction I faced as well as making a Christmas dinner.

Ds said it was the best Christmas dinner ever (probably the only one he can remember!) and I was a beautiful mummy. Bless.

I have bought my new outfit and will be wearing -

Long black flowy but smart skirt, white shirt with very fine silver pinstripes and a pair of knee high black boots. Oh and some lovely new underwear just for when DH and I have our Xmas snuggles

DS - A fantastically cute Santa suit

DH - Black Armani trousers and a black shirt with white patterning on (my fav)

I'm wearing some smart slacks and a new jumper, makes a change from my usual jeans...
