OK- how do we all get rid of our facial hair and how often?

Name changed as mortified by my furriness!

Ok ladies, what's your facial de-fuzzing routine? Since hitting mid 40s the old trusty Jolen is no longer cutting the mustard for the sideburns. Still leaves me looking like Dave Lee Travis. Have recently began removing side-face-hair with Nair facial hair remover cream but it stings! Do this about every 2 wks. What do you all do?

Just to update - hodie you have liberated me from the foul smelling lotion that is Nair! Why did I never think of trimming the cheek areas with nail scissors?! Wish I'd done it years ago. Only have fine blonde hair on side of face but lots of it so always been conscious of it , particularly in bright light. Got the scissors to it today and am no longer furry. Thanks hodie , I love MN.

Doesn't it grow back harsher and eventually darker if your trim it?

I have one hair on chin, it currently is to short for my tweezers to grip it, but I can feel it, I am hoping I can yank it out tomorrow!!!

I must buy a new more accurate tweezers!

papermate one hair!!! You can't join this debate until you have at least twentyGrinGrin

I can see why you think trimming could make it grow back darker and courser, but if you think about it papermate that would therefore be a cure for millions of balding men (and women) all over the world! I must say I'm pretty pleased with the result so far - I'll let you know what it's like after a bit of - ahem- regrowth (blush)

But that one hair is black, dh even thought it was a black head earlier!! I had to run away and hide, before he tried to squeeze it!

I'm currently undergoing laser treatment(Soprano xli) and have to say that I'm really pleased with the results so far.

Mousey84 · 16/10/2011 23:18

I get laser treatment done on my legs, bikini line and underarms. Clearly my pain threshold is extremely low cause if someone tried to put that on my face Id punch them - it hurts like hell (tho advertised as pain free)

However, the pill (microgynon 30) seems to reduce facial/neck hair growth literally in the space of a week. I just started last month after years of tweezering, and trying the cream from drs. Still have a few though

Interested to know what kind of hair sorbetballs had lasered please. Vellus hair usually blonde and lasers don’t usually work on blonde hair.

Thanks.

Use eyebrown razors all over face once a month, light hair so not needed too often. Makeup looks better too
