here

We have a wedding to go to in 2 weeks, and I have a lovely dress for it. But don't want to wear a coat. I bought the stole and have borrowed an antique brooch from mil, overall, I really like the look. Dh does not. But he lives in shorts and should therefore be ignored, right?

I love the stole! has your DH ever seen a rat? That would be one fat (and atypically handsome) rat!

As long is it's not real fur, I'd wear it. You can make an entrance in it/put it on if you're cold, and take it off at other times. If I saw you at a wedding in this I would be complimenting you.

I love the outfit. I think you have the perfect figure for it.
The stole is very on trend for this season

MrsBranning · 10/10/2011 09:30

I agree with your DH. Furs are awful, even fake ones.

LissieLovettsDeliciousPies · 10/10/2011 09:36

ah, it does like opinion is fairly evenly split.

I like it, and as it's for just a short time, I won't bother going shopping for anything else.
You look very nice indeed.

Songbird · 10/10/2011 10:43

Love it, your DH clearly has no idea!

LissieLovettsDeliciousPies · 10/10/2011 12:00

i like you look teent tiny

LissieLovettsDeliciousPies · 10/10/2011 15:12

thanks, I think Im just going to wear it with aplomb. killer heels, sheer stockings and smokey eyes. I am teeny, Im 5'2" but with a very narrow frame, so I look even smaller. in fact, I often buy childrens clothes. Im small boned.

MissBeehiving · 10/10/2011 15:39

I like it too. Men have no taste.

grumplestilskin · 10/10/2011 15:44

I like stoles, but they dont give ANY warmth at all so its not a coat substitute!

LissieLovettsDeliciousPies · 10/10/2011 15:47

Ive told him that any bloke who wears a lilac and purple check ben sherman shirt for a first date can be ignored when it comes to clothes and my uber-glam lil sis likes it!

grumple, Im just hoping it'll cover my shoulders in church and take the edge off.

funnypeculiar · 10/10/2011 15:48

I like. Where did you get it (need a stole for upcoming 1940s party)

PinotScreechio · 10/10/2011 15:48

Careful with aplomb, though Lissie my love. My aplomb often leaks

LissieLovettsDeliciousPies · 10/10/2011 15:49

Grin I finally got rid of it when we moved out. the bloody thing was indestructible!

good job he made me laugh, or I'd never have put out. Wink

PinotScreechio · 10/10/2011 15:54

Ahhhh yes cement pants. I can't imagine attending a posh do without feeling my blood is congealing beneath the elastic. Good times :) Seriously, lissie, you'll rock it. Smokey eye, nude lips and a big smile. Love.

LissieLovettsDeliciousPies · 10/10/2011 15:57

thanks, bit worried because Ive lost so much weight thanks to my teeth/being ill. so now i look pretty gaunt. but I am buying some new makeup and have just dyed my hair. getting it cut a couple of days before, so hopefully I will be able to hold my head high.

LOVE it. You must wear it; don't be swayed by the cardigan wearing naysayers Grin
