i like it but fear it may go the same way as the next flowery top that you see everywhere

That's the trouble with M&S isn't it! I sometimes see something I like there but am put off buying it as I know I will see someone with a blue rinse wearing the same thing and then I will never wear it again.

VonHerrBurton · 09/10/2011 10:27

Hahaha g, rofl when I saw this as my Mum (70) bought that last week and took it back 'cos she said it made her feel frumpy! Mind you, she is a gorgeous, stylish, tall and slim Gran....so I don't know if she would qualify in your summing up! Totally get what you mean, though, and fear you may be right!

MiceElfAgin · 09/10/2011 10:29

Which next flowery top? I like the tunic and I've not got a blue rinse (yet).

dexter73 · 09/10/2011 10:32

If you look at the reviews a lot of them are in the 55-64 age range so that may answer your question!

ggirl · 09/10/2011 10:35

can't find exact top I mean in next but like this maternity one

ok you have answered my question ..as I feared .thanks

besides skinnies/leggings what else would you wear it with though
even grans would wear with slim fit trews I guess
I like it but as dexter said ,all the blue rinsers were picking it up and admiring.

I'm always amazed at how most of the time you never see anyone wearing the same things that you wear.
By the way I am an M&S, East, Phase Eight, JL kind of shopper am in my early 50's without a blue rinse and look pretty OK in my clothes!

mosschops30 · 09/10/2011 11:28

My mum just bought stuff like this from M&S to go with leggings. Shes 66

chickenmug · 09/10/2011 12:35

Noooooooo! I bought this jumper last year! Blush

I wear it with leggings or skinny jeans, but thankfully haven't seen anyone else in it. Guess I'm just going to wear it around the house from now on then.

Wurg · 09/10/2011 12:38

I looked at it and thought it might be rather good to wear as a maternity throw-on. That may not help you, OP.

lucyspangle · 09/10/2011 12:53

Shapeless grey hideous really.
Cannot imagine what type of figure would look good in this.
Urgh.

ggirl · 09/10/2011 12:55

ggirl · 09/10/2011 13:11

OP posts:
noddyholder · 09/10/2011 14:11

I would wear that with long crucifix necklace black tights and boots.

cyb · 09/10/2011 14:13

gg I think thats too stylish for 90% of m and S shoppers to bother with

Wear with skinny legs and shoe boots, like the gal in the pic

Its nice

Uniqlo have lots of things like that atm too

cyb · 09/10/2011 14:14

if you call it a dress not a tunic we'll ALL feel better about the whole thing

AnnetteProfit · 09/10/2011 14:21

thos ebatwingy sleeves make me look about 20 ft wide

noddyholder · 09/10/2011 14:29

Keep your arms down then! I feel slimmer in them not sure why. To me its a dress the word tunic makes me think of hideous shapeless top which goes with cheap leggings

cyb · 09/10/2011 14:33

It woudl be great for me for work

Bloody work
