I need coats for both dses (1 and 4), preferably waterproof. But they need to be WARM (we like to be outside lots). Can anyone suggest anything? I often think they are not warm enough when I see them in the shops...

Thanks!

Thanks kbaby, we have quite a lot of normal thermals from M&S, eBay etc but just weren't warm enough last winter. Plus they're not breathable so ds1 wasn't very comfortable in them when running around in the snow. But he feels the cold as soon as he stops!

Polarn och Pyret. Swedish brand = coats that work at -20. Online in UK.

Am also researching winter coats for my two youngest children and am close to choosing ther Didrikson Camden.

If you are familiar with this make and/or style could you please advise on the sizing. Are they generous in size? My 4.5 year old is quite tall and built for rugby tackling. Should I get the 5-6 or the 7-8? Thank you for your help.

My dd is 7 and 125cm tall but like a rake.
I got her the 130cm one which on some websites states 7-8yrs and on others 8-9yrs.
It fits length wise but is quite baggy, I've kept it because she can wear it next yr too and also with layers under it should fit better.

Thank you kbaby - the 120cm should see him through 2 winters I hope!

my DD has the Didriksons Camden - is the best coat she has ever had and just has a message to say that they are on sale at the moment too www.vikingkids.co.uk I also bought myself the Celeste parka - it is so gorgeous. Worth every penny to not be drenched on the schol run! :)
