Please help me find a couple of winter warm dresses.

Hi, I don't want to be stuck in jeans and jumpers this winter. I want to be feminine but warm.

Can you help me find some warm dresses? Either wooly warm long sleeved or dresses that can easily go with cardis (and help me find some cardis). I am Top Heavy (shoulders, not boobs) so need something that kicks out around the hip to balance me out. I don't want to spend more than £40 on each dress but would stretch to more for something fabulous that I could wear again and again! Don't mind colours but not used to wearing anything bright and in your face.

Thanks in advance for any help :)

I wear (gasp!) lace tights sometimes too. :)

So what IS wrong with buttons?

I ordered the White Company knit dress and it arrived today. It isn't mumsy at all. In fact, it is clingy and flattering on the curves and I wonder if it will be work appropriate.

I do size down for White Company, as their sizes are very generous.

Ooh now you've made me want it even more! HOW clingy though? :)

Regarding the Autograph stripes, I've heard it's a myth that horizontal stripes are fattening.

It's cake, apparently. Wink

Flattering clingy. Really excellent.

After I had DS2 my midwife told me if I didn't sort out my abs ASAP I would always have a pouchy belly. This dress manages to find my chest and hips but not that pouchy belly. It is well made.

Roll on pay day!

It arrived! :o it is gorgeous. As said, it is clingy in all the right places. I got an extra small and it fits beautifully. I love it :o

I bought some fab knee dresses from FEVER last winter, I wear them over plain black or white jersey t-shirts from markies with flat black knee boots.

Will check out fever. Everlong - DP bought me the White Company dress. I really love it! It is not thick as shown on the pic but is actually quite warm! :)
