Is leopard print a very bad idea?

I really fancy some leopard print shoes or boots to wear with jeans or a black dress and opaques. But I don't want to look like Bet Lynch circa 1980. Any thoughts?

Still not convinced :)

I absolutely hate animal prints on anything, tacky and a bit quease-inducing tbh.

Am loving the idea that some new shoes are necessary, less that they might be a bit quease-inducing :(

What stripes?

PaigeTurner · 08/09/2011 20:31

Yes I've been wearing my Mango leopard cardi for a few years with my purple/off white striped tee and black jeans. Sounds horrendous but works quite well - if you are an 'obvious' type. (I have only recently chucked out my bright red, PVC, snakeskin mac, and got rid of my white-blonde hair, so think I fall in that category).

Leopard is sooooo AW10 - it's all snake print now daaaarhlink!

stripeybump · 08/09/2011 22:13

I read this entire thread quite happily, as I'm a fan of tasteful leopard print accessories.

Then I looked down. I am genuinely wearing leopard print pyjamas with a leopard print dressing gown Blush

In my defence, DH is away on business so I'm slobbing out with the cat on the sofa.

I'm blonde btw but a honey blondey colour, highlighted, and I think leopard really suits me. Maybe not on peroxide blondes right enough.

Yy to snakeskin anyway - lovely bag in Banana Republic atm. More for cool-toned people perhaps.

I am blonde. I am over 18. I LOVE animal anything. Am currently debating this belt and

dune ballerinas

or

topshop ballerinas
