this one

If you read this - thanks! I love it and judging by the comments I have had when wearing it, so do others!

I have ordered the pink one they do too and although not as nice I still really like it. You've saved me a fortune from buying elsewhere!

Thanks

I've never had one off custom made clothes, ever, I wish; I always shop in the high street. It's just that for me, as soon as a large number of people become obsessed with one thing (like the Longchapms bag around where I live and now the animal print scarf everywhere on the playground) I go right off it.

Probably not strictly the right way to use 'subterfuge' really Grin

God damn this daft thread Grin Grin, I really must go and use my time more productively....

well, to use our time more productively we could all try to come up with a sentence that employs the word 'subterfuge' correctly...
because I still don't know where/when/how I would use that word

SoupDragon · 15/09/2011 12:52

I got the proper purple one from, um, was it bagsofstyle? so purple it almost glows, and the writing is unobtrusive. It also feels nice and soft so doesn't scream "I'm really nylon!" at you.

SoupDragon · 15/09/2011 12:55

Bagthatstyle! Thats the one. My glow in the dark purple one was purple2.

SemperUbiSubUbi · 15/09/2011 13:02

I know what you mean, im never normally one for following fashions, I just buy what I like if it fits well and go off things if they become popular.

I dont mix in a MNy crowd so highly doubt I will ever see anyone else wearing.

Unless Im in Manchester and take a short cut through the perfume counter in Selfridges by the LV store. Then I still highly doubt Ill see anyone else in it 'cos theirs will all be real Grin

SoupDragon · 15/09/2011 13:06

if you shop on the high street though, you will always be wearing something that loads of other people are wearing.

SemperUbiSubUbi · 15/09/2011 13:12

My sister would be mortified if she was ever seen in the same outfit as someone else.

She only wears dresses once!

ChinaInYourHands · 15/09/2011 13:40

Sure thing, thousands of women wear Gap jeans and Zara tops but they're sort of basics you know; when it comes to an accessory that makes a bit of a statement (and this is not the word I'm looking for but maybe mistress can help me with that ), you know, something with a little personality, then I like it to be well, not exactly a one off, but yes, slightly unique. That's why clever shops like Zara change their stock constantly. Maybe it's just me but I wouldn't care to stand right next to a woman wearing the same Gap jeans as me or the same Warehouse black cardigan as me, but I'd be pretty uncomfortable if they were wearing the same animal print scarf as me. Does that make sense?

MissFoodie · 15/09/2011 14:39

soupdragon, hhmmm so purple 2 is "glow in the dark" then? :-D
reconsidering

SoupDragon · 15/09/2011 19:38

LOL. It is proper purple... Pretty true to the colour in the picture, I think. A bright purple.

MissFoodie · 15/09/2011 22:27

debates justifying buying another

georgie22 · 16/09/2011 15:16

Got the purple scarf yesterday and am impressed. Not sure what's it's made of but it feels nice. Tempted to buy another - just wanted to know if anyone has bought the light blue scarf and if so what's it like?

MissFoodie · 16/09/2011 16:46

purple or purple 2?

georgie22 · 16/09/2011 17:05

Purple (or navy!) MissFoodie.

MissFoodie · 16/09/2011 21:32

so it's more navy than purple then? :)

georgie22 · 16/09/2011 21:50

Purple is definitely more navy with some fuschia in it. V nice!! Grin

SleepyFergus · 17/09/2011 10:13

My purple has just arrived, and it's defo more navy with fuchsia and lilac/grey which is what I was hoping. Love it!!!

Told people at work and 4 others all ordered one - diff colours though! On the basis of this one, I think I may get a brown 'classic(!)' one. And my mum wants to see mine today, so she'll prob order one (or 2) too.

MissFoodie · 17/09/2011 10:37

was the general consensus on the original brown one that it is more a rust/orange than brown?

Yep, agree with Ruby. Heading towards tan - not orangy though.

polyhymnia · 17/09/2011 12:27

Too tan and warm for me - am passing my brown one on. But it depends what sort of browns you like.

berri · 17/09/2011 20:00

I'm in the USA and would love this scarf, but they don't deliver internationally - boooooooo :(

Anyone seen a similar one online who do deliver over here?

SemperUbiSubUbi · 17/09/2011 23:06

Gutted, Ive worn mine pretty much every day for about a week and its started pulling and now has a few holes in it.
