this one

If you read this - thanks! I love it and judging by the comments I have had when wearing it, so do others!

I have ordered the pink one they do too and although not as nice I still really like it. You've saved me a fortune from buying elsewhere!

Thanks

scarf has still not arrived - here's hoping in the morning - some of you ordered after me and have got yours Confused

waaaaah want my scarf!

BarbaraWoodlouse · 09/09/2011 22:03

Wow mistressploppy, that's impressive. DS (DC2) arrived in an hour 10 days early (unplanned homebirth). I guess I had the time I saved from not travelling to the hospital to take my top off Grin

Anyway, sorry for the hijack guys. My scarf was dispatched on 7th from Manchester so hoping it will be in tomorrow's post.

Redumbdancy · 10/09/2011 09:08

Mines arrived!

Love the length! Need to wash it though, will it be alright on a delicate/wool cycle?

I have been washing mine on a wool cycle but my red one accidentally went in with the school cardis 40 degree wash and is absolutely fine.

I ironed them last night and the purple (navy) one needed the iron turning down yet the grey and red ones are fine at the hottest temp.

omydarlin · 10/09/2011 09:34

mine has arrived! Fitted through letter box thank goodness as i'm still in my nightie. Love it, I am trying to save the first wear for a day trip to london (meeting very stylish friend) and have my eye on some chocolate leather wedge boots to go with. Want the red one now too! Thank you style and beauty board I am wearing my waterfall cardi much less and am the proud owner of a stylish scarf befitting my 33 years x

Hmm Im just about to leave ebay feedback.

I feel a bit mean but im going have to say item not as described as it is not cashmere/silk.

I dont mind that its not especially as I knew it wouldnt be but I feel like others should be warned...

stripeybump · 10/09/2011 09:47

my purple scarf looks fab with my navy waterfall cardi

omydarlin · 10/09/2011 09:50

check the listing you bought off first as they did change it in the throes of all our latest purchases to cotton mix

SemperUbiSubUbi · 10/09/2011 09:51

No mine did say C/S and still does.

stripeybump I am hoping this scarf will replace the need for me to keep wrapping the waterfally bits of my cardi round me. I'm weaning myself off them as I was putting comfort over style. But some peeps do manage to look v stylish just not me :-(

SemperUbiSubUbi · 10/09/2011 09:56

Mine doesnt seem to have a label and to be honest I dont see it surviving a wash, its already shredding and bits of it keep falling off.

Thats not with heavy use either, Ive worn it once and just checked it for a label thats it.

SemperUbiSubUbi · 10/09/2011 10:04

Im going to leave neutral/negative feedback but cant do that until after 7 days.

"Quality did not match item description" Which it definitely does not.

omydarlin · 10/09/2011 10:12

are you going to send yours back semperubi? Just interested looking at the little card they send they may offer a nice refund and let you keep scarf. I would not normally advocate such action as ebay is rife with misrepresentations but knowing the history and knowing how tough ebay is on sellers, i dont know what i would do but then again i'm a soft cow and its got me nowhere in life. Anyway worth a try for a refund.

happilyeverafter · 10/09/2011 10:12

Semper have you contacted the seller to tell them that you are unhappy?

SemperUbiSubUbi · 10/09/2011 10:33

omydarlin There wasnt a card with mine. Also I wont feel sorry for the sellers as they have just had a massive boost in sales just from this thread! I bet they are making a massive profit on the flimsy cotton that they bought for a couple of quid. Grin

I do still like the scarf but if next time I wear it it still shred then I will contact the seller and ask for a replacement.

I just think, I dont want to be carried away by how much I like the scarf and how quickly it got here, lets not forget if you bought it in a shop and you werent happy with the quality and its not made from what the shop assistant told you it was then youd be a bit annoyed and send it back.

ExpensivePants · 10/09/2011 11:14

I don't like mine :( It is navy blue, not purple, but I was warned about that. It says dry clean only but I want to wash it, there's a funny old smell on it which might be putting me off it a bit too. Will it survive a wash?

Redumbdancy · 10/09/2011 11:18

My brown one survived the wash, do it on it's own though, the water went a very funny colour!

MissFoodie · 10/09/2011 11:20

Expensivepants what was the name of your seller? there are 2 (I think) at the mo, one is flowerheart and the other is bagthatstyle

baguettecut · 10/09/2011 11:20

My brown one has arrived, already have purple which I love. Colour remorse though, I want grey - why, oh why did I buy brown?!!

ExpensivePants · 10/09/2011 11:24

flowerheart I think.

SemperUbiSubUbi · 10/09/2011 11:25

I bought from: bag-that-style-6

ExpensivePants · 10/09/2011 11:26

Might give it a hand wash then. The smell is making me feel sick, sort of a chemically, tarmac-y smell.
