Are these shoes really foul?

They are incredibly comfortable.

I need some shoes to go with a navy blue dress and cream sequin shrug whispers for a wedding. The consensus seems to be to wear nude shoes, but they don't work with my dark skin. Am struggling to find anything with sensible sized heels - will be on my feet for a good 12 hours.

this might work

Collision · 31/08/2011 12:01

it did not

LeBOF · 31/08/2011 12:01

Your link for you...

LeBOF · 31/08/2011 12:02

Which just goes to the main page Blush

Collision · 31/08/2011 12:02

not keen on the gold - sorry!

Collision · 31/08/2011 12:03

navy suede might be more useful

Collision · 31/08/2011 12:04

Your link goes to a pair of gold high heels BOF!

worldgonecrazy · 31/08/2011 12:04

They look a bit sensible, but if you're on your feet for 12 hours, sensible is probably good. I prefer the teal over the gold.

flibbertigibbert · 31/08/2011 12:06

Collision - I looked at the navy ones but the comments said it was actually more of a purple colour.

Really struggling to find anything, as I can't do really thin heels.

Actually they are not as bad as I thought, they might work well with your skin too.
If you can see your self wearing them again buy them, otherwise don't.

Collision · 31/08/2011 12:07

Link to the dress and then we can judge comment on maybe a totally clashing different colour!!

tassisssss · 31/08/2011 12:08

If you're looking for navy, have you seen these which are patent and suede and lovely.

Don't like the gold, sorry.

Collision · 31/08/2011 12:09

these would look good with navy

flibbertigibbert · 31/08/2011 12:10

Dress - minus the black beading which I have altered

Cardi

tassissss - really like those teal shoes but worried they might be too bright, especially as I have another colour in the cardi.

What about the tan ones? They would work with my skin tone

I think the gold would be be fine with purply blue and dark skin, esp if you're staying to dance in the evening.

Collision · 31/08/2011 12:14

Can you not just get some really high ones and sit down a lot? Wink

Lovely dress and shrug BTW

Collision · 31/08/2011 12:15

I just think the gold is a bit Clarks-y and Strictly Come Dancing!!

flibbertigibbert · 31/08/2011 12:16

Collision - I really am awful in heels. The ceremony is in an old church with cobbles outside, and I will end up on the floor if I don't wear sensible shoes

Have you tried New Look?

Over the years I have spent a fortune on shoes but the comfiest of all are from New Look! £5 wedges

Some ideas here

Collision · 31/08/2011 12:18

lovely

flibbertigibbert · 31/08/2011 12:24

Those grey ones are lovely Collision. Just worried they might be too high, but I'm tempted to order them and try them out - at least they do have quite a chunky heel

Insomnia - I like the colour of those but not the ankle strap - think it would be v unflattering as I have quite short fat legs.
