I feel I have 'IT' at 45 much moreso than I had at 25.

Lots of my friends that most definitely had 'IT' in their 20's are now struggling to hang on to it, or frankly can't be arsed to care anymore. Whereas in my case, age seems to have helped me out a bit and I've kind of caught up.

Dh constantly tells me I'm seriously hot, but usually that's because he's trying to get laid.

I look better in my 40s than in my 30s I think I put a lot into being a mum and all the school stuff etc I still looked ok but it wasn't a priority. Now it is. I have botox twice a year and have been using a lash serum. Both have changed everything for me don't need half the make up and often go without now,I use a really good moisturiser and never sun my face.Bonsoir that looks interesting

The great thing about IT is IT never really leaves you. In my 20s I worried I would lose IT when I hit 30, then in my 30s I worried about losing IT at 40. Now I'm worried about losing IT when I hit menopause . . . .

My DH doesn't tell me i'm beautiful/sexy/gorgeous or anything at the moment so I have to try for 'it' to keep my spirits up.

The reason I felt like I had 'it' yesterday was that I felt confident and sassy. I was wearing an outfit that I think really suits me and shows off my good bits, my hair was freshly washed and blow dried, I was wearing contacts not glasses and so I'd bothered to put some mascara on and I was wearing heels (not really high but high for me ).

Today, I'm at home with DD and her friend and I'm wearing glasses, ok clothes but nothing special, day 2 hair which is okay but a little flat and when I do go out, I'll be wearing converse. I think for me, all I need to do to have 'it' today is change to contacts, put some mascara on and add some jewellery. But I know I won't bother!

Is that wrong? Should I bother?

hmmmm. If IT is sex appeal then IT depends. Young 20 somethings wouldn't even NOTICE me, but when I went away with a group of fortysomethings recently, all dressed up, we attracted lots of glances. Perhaps as a group, rather any one individual. But anyway, I didn't feel thta we were ivisible. NOT yet!

After 5 days camping I felt like stig of the dump though. Had no it for anybody no even the old goats on the campsite.

Encycolgirl, I think a different kind of face looks good in their 20s. Baby faced. I had slightly too poppy eyes and perhaps a strong jawline in my 20s. i think I looked 30 at 20. Not cos of wrinkles but cos my face looked strong. If that makes ANY sense at all. NOW, perhaps I am codding myself here! but I imagine that my eyes are less poppy because my eye lids have obviously drooped a bit but because I could 'afford' it, it doesn't look too bad. And my jaw can afford a bit of softening. I wouldn't say this in rl. People might say 'um yeah' and there'd be an awkward silence. But I tell myself this!
