why is it such a wonder beauty buy? What, other than as a lip balm, do you actually use it for?

i think the lipstick Paul and Joe concealer, perfect for my pinky skin, oh so soft and dabs on well in emergencies.

BilboBloggins · 20/06/2011 12:43

It's brilliant for dry cracked heels/feet. Use it before you go to bed and your feet are so soft in the morning Smile

I have fair skin, but it has yellow undertone, so Laura Mercier works for me! So does MAC.

I haven't tried Paul & Joe make up yet. Keep meaning to, the packaging is delightful and it gets good reviews but it's not available in that many places. It's not something I come across, well, anywhere really and I don't like to buy cosmetics on spec from the internet without seeing colours and textures for myself. Where do they sell it?

AitchTwoOh · 20/06/2011 13:23

gosh i don't know, i was given some when it first came out and now get it off beautybay, which doesn't help you. i think it's very good quality stuff, if anything the packaging makes it look a bit benefit-y, which is Not A Good Thing imo. the products themselves feel more japanese, iykwim? everything very finely milled and chock full of pigment.

Havingkittens · 20/06/2011 14:05

I don't mind retro packaging if the ingredients are of a good quality. I totally agree about Benefit though. Utter shite! Prime example of style over substance. I'm only grateful to Glamour Magazine for reminding me not to spend any real money on the stuff.

Ok so i use Eight hour cream on my face over night. it has really improved my acne and combination skin. Is their something else i could try that does the same but is cheaper can't imagine vaseline would cut it.

noddyholder · 20/06/2011 18:39

Kammilosan is very similar

Note to self to root out the 20 odd year old tube I have to check the smell - would I notice if it had gone off??
