I need a green/green patterned dress, I've looked at so many I've lost the will to live

I like the colour of this - but its hideous isn't it, or is it nice? - I can't tell

I also like this

also quite like

like this but its at the top of my price range, I'd prefer something a bit cheaper

Are they all awful? are any OK? are any fabulous? can you find me anything better. Please help before I lose my mind.

OK, need more info. Are we looking for tea dress, maxi, shift dress? For what body shape?

FebreezeYourJeans · 07/05/2011 19:46

not patterned

KurriKurri · 07/05/2011 19:48

I'm short - 5'2", size 12, pear shape, I'm 51, so don't want to look like mutton, don't want anything over the knee my legs are horrid.

Not maxi, I want a day dress for an occasion (graduation) Nothing too low cut at the front, sleeveless is OK, I have reasonable shoulders. I think anything too straight up and down would make me look too hippy, I tend to go for empire line, or a-line.

also not patterned

FebreezeYourJeans · 07/05/2011 19:50

DP?

KurriKurri · 07/05/2011 19:50

That's nice - and very cheap (the less I spend on dress the more I have left for shoes) I don't mind if it's plain colour, pattern not essential.

OK, that helps - will continue looking, I love a good dress hunt

FebreezeYourJeans · 07/05/2011 19:51

DP again - too short?

KurriKurri · 07/05/2011 19:52

I think I'm slightly too lumpy for the asos one. I like the DP, nice and retro - but maybe a bit too much of a sundress.

FebreezeYourJeans · 07/05/2011 19:52

DP again - could be lovely

KurriKurri · 07/05/2011 19:55

Nice colour, - but I think too long in the body (forgot to say I have a short back - I mean out of proportion short to the rest of me) - (I realise I am sounding bit odd now Grin)

FebreezeYourJeans · 07/05/2011 19:56

not green enough?

KurriKurri · 07/05/2011 19:57

Ooh like the poppy one - lovely

Maiasaurus · 07/05/2011 19:57

I really like the Ted Baker one, Kurri .

Also like this but it's not very green. Hmm

KurriKurri · 07/05/2011 19:58

I saw the east one in town today and it is nice, quite long though - might try it on next week and see, but think it will come near to my ankles.

FebreezeYourJeans · 07/05/2011 19:59

shape might be right but too casual?

FebreezeYourJeans · 07/05/2011 20:01

I like the poppy one too, very striking.

RainbowShite · 07/05/2011 20:01

There's another green 50s style one in wallis

tethersend · 07/05/2011 20:02

I like the Wallis one- the others are not bad, but not keen on the Ted Baker one... Febreeze's Very one also lovely.

How about this one?

olive?

Lime?

KurriKurri · 07/05/2011 20:02

Yes I like the Ted Baker Maiasaurus - I like your stripy one, but as you say being completely ungreen, it isn't green enough Grin

tethersend · 07/05/2011 20:02

xpost with about a thousand people linking to the same dresses Grin

FebreezeYourJeans · 07/05/2011 20:04

too frou-frou?

KurriKurri · 07/05/2011 20:07

Debenhams one very pretty febreeze, but a bit short - although might not be short on me.

tethers - I'm glad you like the Wallis one - it sort of caught my eye, but I couldn't work out whether that was because it was nice or odd. I do like it though.

The Hobbs one is lovely - very classic.

My tastes veer between very palin and simple, and a bit flouncy Confused

Nice dress again Febreeze, but a bit ruffly up top for me.

KurriKurri · 07/05/2011 20:08

palin (as in sarah or michael???) plain
