ooh £45 is cheaper than I've seen advertised before, I thought it was more like £500 for a full treatment?

I hate my drunkard healthy wind-blown complexion, would be very tempted.

BecauseImWoeufIt · 19/04/2011 21:24

Germolene/Savlon or witch hazel was what I was recommended to use, ggirl.

HoB - Each treatment I have had so far was £50. I have had 2 and have one more, in 6 weeks

HouseOfBamboo · 19/04/2011 21:24

Not even water on your skin for 3 days - blimey that's a challenge though... Maybe a wee veil is in order.

HouseOfBamboo · 19/04/2011 21:30

BIWI - hmm that's not too bad really, for vein free skin. Well I suppose they have to leave some veins in there... If it wasn't for the belisha veins though, my skin would be loverly.

ggirl · 19/04/2011 21:32

biwi-were you recommended to put witch hazel on after the treatment?

BecauseImWoeufIt · 19/04/2011 21:35

Yes - but when I said I didn't have any, she suggested Savlon. I haven't got any of that either, but Germolene was a good alternative apparently. (And it has a local anaesthetic in it too)

I wasn't told not to put water on it, just to avoid exfoliation or excessive touching/cleansing - and to try and avoid blowing my nose, which is not the easiest of things!

cyb · 19/04/2011 21:47

I would ahve to stay indoors if I coudnt wear make up for 3 days

Or sorry

H has just been giving me idiot proof directions on how to get out of Chertsey.

HouseOfBamboo · 19/04/2011 22:03

Or ?

maryjane71 · 19/04/2011 22:03

I've long suspected they were caused by too much wine Blush but I eat loads of spicy food so I'll blame that instead Grin.

I've never considered having them removed before. Mum has them on her cheeks and they make her look all rosy. So I'll blame her aswell!

I'm more concerned about the veins developing on my legs Grin

ggirl · 19/04/2011 22:22

arf at you cyb getting more het up about the drive

maryjabe-this woman did legs as well but more ££ ,she said much less painful though

cyb · 19/04/2011 22:36

I'm taking dd with me to help me navigate

She can sit in the car with a Heat and a bag of revels

ggirl · 19/04/2011 22:41

ooh are you excited
dh thinks I am bloody mad having my veins done

ggirl · 20/04/2011 10:22

great ! lovely little whiteheads on my nose today and skin looking all blotchy
really really really want to pick them
want to wear abag over my head today

BecauseImWoeufIt · 20/04/2011 10:45

Don't, don't, don't pick them!!!

You can use concealer - I checked with my therapist about that.

ggirl · 20/04/2011 12:42

really
Thanks
can I wash my hair in shower and let water run over face

blardy woman said I had to keep my face dry for 3 days
I will never achieve that in a million yrs
have already pput under eye cream on

ggirl · 20/04/2011 12:44

so if concealor is ok I can put foundation on very gently
it is thinner than my concealor
I presume it's trauma to the skin I am having to avoid??

also I want to put sunscreen on??

cyb · 20/04/2011 13:26

I havent tiold my h

I dont think he woudl approve, not that I care if he didnt. But we need our garden doing and £180 is quite a chuck of decking!

Dropdeadfred · 20/04/2011 14:24

how long does it last Cyb..?.i'm not a million miles from chertsey......

cyb · 20/04/2011 15:44

ACK

I didnt get it done

Turns out my apointment wasn't for Botox today as I thought so, but to check up on results of eye cream I have been using from there.

She was trying to sell me a chemical peel for my skin, which it probably could do with but it really doesnt interest me. it woudl cost £150+ for all the pre peel potions and then £80 every 8 weeks, plus MORE potions when they run out.

She said botox would make a difference to my face, and I could amke an pp to have it done, but as my skin is so sun damaged and open pored it might be like painting a flaking wall. OH AND I've got 5% more sun damage than last time I was there, despite wearing factor 40 every freekin day.

Oh I dont bloody know anymore

BecauseImWoeufIt · 20/04/2011 15:49

Where are you going, cyb?

To be honest, I wouldn't believe them.

Sounds like they're spinning you a yarn to get you to spend more money with them.

noddyholder · 20/04/2011 15:51

this

Dropdeadfred · 20/04/2011 15:53

Cyb that sounds like a pile of shite! Did they really use that analogy? painting a peeling wall????

cyb · 20/04/2011 15:54

BIWI its a dentist/laser clinic in Chertsey, she is very nice the lady and I didnt feel too under pressure but she is def trying to get me to ahve that treatment first rather than just botox.

Perhaps it is to get the best results, who knows. But both treatments would bankrupt me

TracyK · 20/04/2011 15:55

ooo - have you used this Noddy?

cyb · 20/04/2011 15:55

She said something about filling a wall and not painting it..? Not sure I completely understood
