I'm a tad nervous but I have been thinking about cutting my hair nice & short for ages but I can't find the right cut.
I have straggly brown hair just past my norkage & I always wear it in a ponytail.

So here's a dodgy picture of me minus any make up because I have been at the park all day:

Poly the fringe could be a problem, I bet I would end up cliping it up with random hello kitty clips found around the house.

silverymoon made a good comment about the pixie cuts looking no different to how I wear my hair now, really can't decide wether to go for shortish cut or to chop the whole lot off

If you google wip hairport it links to a flicker page and they have an assortment of edgy cool cuts. I like a spiky pixie but not one that resembles a loo brush. If you get a good cut with disconnected pieces it's soooooooooo easy to style. I personally hate the short but flat efforts because they flatter nobody. Emma Watson needs to ruffle it up a bit IMHO.

I would go for a shortish cut first, then if you decide you want to go shorter you can. It could be a bit of a shock to go from long to v.short in one go.

They might be a bit too edgy for most people lipstickgal. Most of them look like fraggles.

Some of them are very creative. Others are really funky pixie cuts. I think you must have just glanced at the more colourful creations or disconnected and shaved stuff. If you have a good look you will find more pedestrian styles.........

I think something feathery, pixie-ish would suit you with your lovely big eyes!

Wow - you look fantastic, and much younger, too. It looks stylish, but easy to look after. Are you pleased with it?

I am, it's taken a while to get used to. In the morning I look like Marge Simpson but a bit of gel & a stroke through with the straightners & it looks ok again.

Ive just had my very long hair cut off into a style similar to Kerry Katonas bob. I love it and next time im going even shorter. Everyone told me i look much younger and its much easier to style. I like the 2nd pic. Go for it
