I'm sure it wouldn't be as good but its £100, which has to be cheaper than a salon.

Well I always used to shave, but I have started waxing. I did this in the summer, and it seemed to take AGES for the hair to grow back. I can now do it myself with strips and it takes about 20 mins (ish) every month. They are defineately better wuith no stubble.

Thanks Bewitched - that's interesting. Might put on my Christmas list....

Me. I have to confess the hairs on my leg are about an inch long. They are kept hidden under trousers & when I feel I can handle som pain I use my epilady on them. This usually frightens the hair into not growing for several weeks.

Does an epilator hurt? I bought one half price in the boots sale about 6 months ago but have not plucked up the courage to try it!

hunkermunker · 31/10/2005 17:53

PMSL at "plucked up the courage" - sorry, am in an odd mood

Countess Dracula - yes, lots! But it gets easier once you've used it a few times.

SerahScarer · 31/10/2005 18:36

CD - Best thing with an epilator is to pull the skin that you are shaving at the time taught with one hand whilst epilating with the other.

Otherwise you will cry.

Doesn't hurt me anymore as I have been using one for 17 years and can now go freestyle
