teeavee · 30/10/2005 22:30

QueenVictoria · 30/10/2005 22:32

I usually do but havent done for some weeks due to a skin condition so mine are a bit mank at the moment.

Tortington · 30/10/2005 22:32

not on a regular basis maybe 5 or 6 times a year

expatinscotland · 30/10/2005 22:34

Ditto Kama, I couldn't agree more.

Actually, my dad had a mother who was a native American/India. Dad has SO little body hair he only has to shave once a week - with an electric razor. The man has NO hair on his arms or legs!

Unfortunately, that was one gene of his I didn't inherit.

If I won Lotto, I'd have almost all my body hair permanently removed.

MINNIE1 · 30/10/2005 22:42

I cant bloody reach mine!!! 7 months pregnant and i cant reach me flaming legs in the shower!!! So DP does them...

expatinscotland · 30/10/2005 22:43

I'm 8 months pregnant. I have no problem reaching myself to get rid of that nasty hair. My Johnson's Holiday Skin Body Lotion would not go on as well if I were all hairy.

Yuk.

Tortington · 30/10/2005 22:52

love is minnie .........your dp shaving your legs!

MINNIE1 · 30/10/2005 22:59

Me - I have amazing non-hairy legs! I think I must have inherited the hairlessness from my dad, he didn't have any hair on his arms, legs or chest at all. Dd1 is very jealous of me - she turns into a Wooky if she forgets to depilate.

expatinscotland · 31/10/2005 13:10

'Haha expat - that is like my husband - he is kenyan & never shaves his face - not a single hair on it. He hardly has any hair under his arms (infact looks like he has shaven it even though he hasn't obviously) nor legs/arms.'

My dad felt really left out in the 70s, when growing sideburns, beards and mustaches was en vogue. He DEFFO didn't fit in w/that trait. He also has hardly any hair under his arms and NONE on his legs, arms or chest.

I'm dead jealous, b/c up until he was in his mid-60s, he had a head of thick, straight black hair as well.

Oh, and having darker skin means he hardly has any wrinkles, either.

Some folks get all the luck!

Gobbledispook · 31/10/2005 13:17

OMG yucksville. I keep my shaved - I like to be silky smooth!

expatinscotland · 31/10/2005 13:18

Good ol' GDS! I agree 100%.

compo · 31/10/2005 13:25

every 2 or 3 days in summer if wearing skirt/shorts etc. About every 3 weeks in winter or if I want to feel sexy etc more often

libbyss · 31/10/2005 13:26

I plait mine atm. Jeez I've got 5 kids lol.

HuggyBear · 31/10/2005 13:27

depends if anyone is going to see them!

buffytheharpsichordcarrier · 31/10/2005 13:34

I have goaty legs that must be shaved every day (in the summer) I am afraid. in the winter I try not to do it so often but...
bloody handy for my ancestors staying cosy on the Celtic fringe no doubt but a PITA for me

handlemecarefully · 31/10/2005 13:41

So what about permanent hair removal with a laser - it's expensive but nevertheless I am considering it if it works...

Can anyone vouch for it?

tatt · 31/10/2005 13:47

since I have pcos I tend to have more hair than most. I shave when I know other women will see it because I know some women are peculiar about it.

Anyone with experience of using lasers to remove hair? I'm very tempted to buy a home laser kit.

tatt · 31/10/2005 13:48

crossposting hmc, but great minds and all that....

Bewitched · 31/10/2005 14:18

hmc - I can vouch for the permanent hair removal with laser or intense pulse light. Could probably do with a couple more sessions on legs (can't have whilst pregnant), but I only shave my legs about once a month if that, and then it's only little patches of really soft stuff that grows.

Bewitched · 31/10/2005 14:19

tatt - I wouldn't have the same faith in a home laser kit personally.
