got a bit of a streched saggy mummy tumy since having dd nearly 4 years ago.

only weight half a stone more though so even if i lost half a stone i reckon im stuck with it

im 33 and feel a bit young for a all in one, bt not sure im brave enough for a bikini

although ive wondered if a bit of sun of the skin might help the scaring etc?

i have tried tankinis, but they often ride up around the tummy when swimming etc, so the part that could easily come exposed is the worse part

so its either bikini ir swimsuit.

ill try a few on and probably get one of each

they don't ride up if they are the right size

CointreauVersial · 15/03/2011 18:13

Oi BoF, I'm 44 and very toned, thank you! No crepy wobbly walrussy bits at all. No tits either, but that's another story. Grin

withagoat · 15/03/2011 22:12

Bof. Am surprised . What do you wear?

BulletWithAName · 15/03/2011 22:18

Bikini, but one with high waisted drawstring shorts, so the legs don't dig in as I have thighs like Beyonce. I'm thinking of getting this...

Fleecy · 15/03/2011 22:23

I took both on hols last year - was a size 8/10 and fairly toned but with faded stretchmarks on tummy and it sags a bit when I lean over (don't I sound gorgeous Grin) but I ended up feeling so frumpy in the one-pieces that I just wore the bikinis all the time.

You'll always see better and you'll always see worse so why worry?

BitOfFun · 15/03/2011 22:25

I haven't been on a beach holiday in a gazillion years, so I've never had to make the decision.

Hulababy · 15/03/2011 22:26

All in one. Not worn a bikini since before I was regnant, so some 9-10 years ago when I was about 28y.

shmoz · 15/03/2011 22:35

In the unlikely event that my body goes anywhere near a beach this year, I will be sporting a full length wet suit - I don't want to scare the horses.

notyummy · 15/03/2011 22:35

Bikini. One that fits well, with fairly supportive pants as my bottom benefits from the help!

I think swimsuits age you, and unless you are crippingly self conscious out of one, you are better avoiding, as people wonder what you have to hide.

Swimsuit only necessary if you are doing PROPER swimming.

notyummy · 15/03/2011 22:36

Oh - and Fleecy, I am sure you look FANTASTIC in a bikini!

Fleecy · 15/03/2011 22:41

Thanks ny - no saggy skin at the moment - it's stretched back into bump so bikini heaven Grin

yellowkiwi · 15/03/2011 22:42

I agree with notyummy. We often go to a beach in Portugal and only the very old women wear a one piece. The women there are all different shapes and sizes and no one seems self-conscious at all.

Chandon · 16/03/2011 08:24

I wear a bikini.

Yes I am 40. yes I have had big babies. So my tummy isn't like a model's tummy.

Somehow I don't care Grin

TrillianAstra · 16/03/2011 08:37

Swimsuit for swimming (at the gym), bikini for hanging about.

Agree with whoever said that on a beach a swimsuit is ageing - makes you look like someone's mum. Which you are. But you don't have to look mumsy.

Ooopsadaisy · 16/03/2011 08:45

I am 42 and a size 8 bottom and size 10 top.

I just don't feel comfortable in bikinis anymore. Everyone says I should but I don't.

I wear a tankini and usually a pair of shorts when I'm walking about.
