Pandora - fab or chav?

I bought myself a cream leather Pandora bracelet, to go with the lovely Monica Vinader cream and silver Fiji bracelet DH bought me for Xmas.

I've become a tad obsessed, it's cleverly designed for magpies like me! I've bought 3 beads for it already at a cost of £40-£50 each Blush

I'm going to buy a black Pandora string too so I can wear beads around my neck too.

I feel like a convert to a cult, but also that a lot of jewellery has copied the Pandora style recently, especially M and S costume stuff, so it's nice to have the real deal. It's also very versatile - adding different colours of glass beads depending on outfit.

Fab or chav?

I love them, means I will never struggle for present ideas for anybody that owns one Grin

I was reading the first couple of pages wondering how people were allowed to express their honest opinions without someone posting about how dare you judge others, blah blah blah. Ah yes, few posts in 2016 and there it is. I miss the days you were able to anonymously write an opinion on this site and without the professionally offended brigade piling in about how dare anyone express any form of judgement about anything. Hmm

I think the concept is a good one and when they first came out I thought they were nice. I dont have one though as theyre not my aesthetic. I prefer delicate, subtle, unusual jewellery. I agree re the ubiquitous nature of them and the cheap knock-offs being almost indistinguishable from the real thing.

ffs, why do people resurrect zombie threads from years ago?

BusterGonad · 05/12/2016 09:02

Ha ha. I didn't even notice!

It's strange I didn't like them because my mum had one so thought of them as mum jewlery and a bit faddy. I generally hate mass market gimmicky jewelry. But then my new lovely boyf got me one for my birthday with quite a few carefully picked charms on them. He was so pleased with himself how could I not wear it? Boyfriend is now dh. I've had the odd charm given going forward and charms to mark my two children's births, one a letter, one engraved. I've worn it on and off. 8 years on I love it. I am wearing it a lot at the moment as I am busy and it's easy to leave on, shower in etc. I just don't have the time to change jewlry as much. I have come to love it as my day piece. I think rather than common it's become a sort of classic.
I wouldn't wear for a night out. Prefer something more dramatic. incidently I don't like other pandora jewelry as I find it bland.
