So cod, how did they get your email address? You must have bought from them some time? ( points finger accusingly)

You are, indeed, middle aged and middle class. Case dismissed

FUnnily enough, XH texted me last week from a train where he'd discovered he'd been sitting next to the CEO of White Stuff for several hours. (We only talk about the important things these days, he knew I'd like that one..)

I said to tell her that imo the stuff was samey, too many A line skirts and they needed to get me in as a designer Grin Not had the call yet.

They're so nearly there, but not quite. Same style dresses and tunics each season, too recognisable prints. V expensive too. I don't want to spend £50 on a plain v neck jumper.

FluffyMummy123 · 17/02/2011 20:24

and their tops are TINY and sleeves SKINNY
i am a 12.14 top and i had to try a 18

CaptainNancy · 17/02/2011 20:29

And everything is FAR too long! (Though you know I'm a shortarse)
I wear their tunics as dresses...

hoxtonchick · 17/02/2011 20:36

you forget to mention the particular droopyness of the cardis....

KristinaM · 17/02/2011 20:36

But ,cod, the legs are the last thing to go on a woman, dontcha know? You should be making the most of yours while you still have time Wink

LynetteScavo · 17/02/2011 20:39

I was disappointed in the catalogue that dropped though my door today. The sweetie tweetie dress is nice, but not a lot else.

LynetteScavo · 17/02/2011 20:40

KristinaM , I beg to differ about legs.

LynetteScavo · 17/02/2011 20:44

And I agree about sizes. I have to go up at least one size...picure me trying on clothes in their shop in Rock.

Me; "Do your clothes tend to come up small?" [hhm]

Skinny teenage shop assistants " What do you mean?" Confused

Me; "oh, I must have put on weight, I don't usually buy this size." (While I mentally slapped the both with a dead fish)

BooBooGlass · 17/02/2011 20:47

Dresses and jumpers are always a bit too short, but trousers freakishly long. I adore a dress I bought there last season but tbh it's just a bit too short, and really, at £50 I'd expected it not to bobble after 3 bloody wears Hmm

Katz · 17/02/2011 20:50

i've not been impressed with White stuff for the last couple of seasons, i have however liked a lot of the mantaray stuff at debenhams.

traceybath · 17/02/2011 20:50

Was that the dress that you spent 10 hours on hold on the phone for?

I bought a SRD at the weekend - nearly started a thread but just couldn't face all the 'oooh is that the hi-light of your day comments'

DrNortherner · 17/02/2011 20:52

Yuk yuk yuk. Their website is terrible too actually.

onepieceoflollipop · 17/02/2011 20:57

Katz I think you are right re the Mantary stuff. Only trouble is the shop "assistants" in our Debenhams have a great game wrt changing rooms. You get sent from one department to the other while they smirk and say that their changing room is closed but the one at Wallis/Jane Norman/Pineapple is definitely open, only it's not open.

onepieceoflollipop · 17/02/2011 20:58

Can I just ask a really stupid question about the White Stuff website. I just get a kind of wallpaper background. Then I scroll down and evenutally see what I want, then I click on it at it goes back to the wallpaper, then I scroll down again and so on.

Is it them or me?

Katz · 17/02/2011 21:00

onepiece - i order online, try on in my own home and then take it back to the store, there are often 20% discount vouchers kicking around too. One of the reasons apart from the actual clothes is that their sizing is true.

Just has a quick look at their new stuff think the credit card will take a hammering soon!

onepieceoflollipop · 17/02/2011 21:03

Thanks katz I am going to have a look online later. :)

I got 3 great t-shirts last year, and a beautiful jumper, all very flattering and wash well.

QueeferFuckerland · 17/02/2011 21:03

I think it's them lollipop.

I hate that too.

AND the Debanhams where I live is exactly likje that. Bastards.

onepieceoflollipop · 17/02/2011 21:07

One time in Debenhams I went to five different changing rooms. At the last one the assistant said to me in a very stroppy tone that I was to go back to the main Debenhams changing room and "tell x from me..." Angry

I said that actually I was a customer and I was not prepared to join in with staff arguments and become involved in passing messages between staff members. What a way to go on!

Anyway, just been on their website and they have loads more tops on there than in the shop. Grin

Katz · 17/02/2011 21:12

have a google or look on hotukdeals bound to be a discount code around. I was liking the tankini's and vest tops oh and a beach dress and trousers and....

onepieceoflollipop · 17/02/2011 21:14

Thanks Katz.
