Can't find anything that will tackle my dry, cracked lips. They look horrid.

Neutrogena immediate repair lip balm is very good, works for me when my lips are dry and peeling.

ZuzuandZara · 13/01/2011 22:55

Boots no. 7 protect and perfect lipcare. About 8 quid but brilliant.

usualsuspect · 13/01/2011 22:56

Vaseline...loads of ,at night

Valpollicella · 13/01/2011 22:57

Kamillosan! Seriously, amazing stuff and not just for sore nips

Mssoul · 13/01/2011 22:59

I always use blisteze/blistex and it makes them kinda stingy and tingly in a nice way and they are always better by the next day.

Incidentally, my lips dry out badly when I am pregnant, bfing, very tired or have been partying too hard. I always know it's a sign to get some fruit and veg in me and a night's sleepGrin

doricpatter · 13/01/2011 22:59

Came in to suggest Lansinoh but I think Kamillosan is very similar. Fab stuff.

Carmex original - the one in a little pot, not the tube one

CointreauVersial · 13/01/2011 23:02

Blistex cream here too. Love the tingle.

neepsntatties · 13/01/2011 23:33

Never thought about nipple cream. I am 38 weeks so have some in the house in preparation. Will give it a go.

Another vote for Vaseline, mainly because I hate stuff that is perfumed.

Havingkittens · 13/01/2011 23:48

Lucas Paw Paw Ointment

Yep vaseline!!! but not the aloe vera or rosy lips versions (they both have a drying effect on me)

Have used lansinoh but it is a bit sticky and stiff if you know what I mean

Chapstick and carmex trigger my cold sores.

Love blistex but th tingle makes me lick my lips,..which is somewhat counterproductive!

claireybear82 · 13/01/2011 23:55

im a beauty product addict and the best thing by for is good old fashioned vaseline! couldnt live without it

solo · 14/01/2011 00:00

Melrose! small chemists, under £3 use it throughout the day and plaster it on before bed. You will wake up with soft lips. I use it every night before bed regardless and have fab kissable lips! mwah!!Grin

Montifer · 14/01/2011 00:02

I usually rely on Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream to sort out dry lips, but am dabbling with Lansinoh (as am 7 weeks into bf and it's handy at the moment) and am finding it very effective, I warm the tube for a few minutes so it's not too sticky

BitOfFun · 14/01/2011 00:05

Carmex. That is all you need to know.

TwoWeeSausages · 14/01/2011 00:09

I've found Lansinoh works really well.

Currently sitting here wkth lips slathered in it.

ASecretLemonadeDrinker · 14/01/2011 00:13

vaseline

campion · 14/01/2011 00:19

Carmex moisturising lipbalm ( available at Waitrose...and other places I'm sure!) and Blistex Intensive Moisturiser have both worked their magic in this house over the past few weeks.

Vaseline made DS's lips worse - must be sensitive to it.

CeliaFate · 14/01/2011 09:17

You've got to exfoliate first! Either with a flannel, or an old toothbrush.

aquavit · 14/01/2011 13:30

vaseline or lansinoh and NOTHING ELSE works for me

also find it very important to stay hydrated: if I find my lips drying out, drinking lots of water often helps

belgo · 14/01/2011 13:31

Carmex and the green vaseline pot, the one with aloe vera.

rowingboat · 15/01/2011 01:02

I didn't have any blistex around the other night so used normal neutrogena handcream with vaseline on top.
My lips were much better the next morning.
Didn't lick my lips, but I don't think it would taste too good.
