Just wondered if anyone has any great recommendations for some nice undies (a matching set ) from either Bravissimo or Figleaves? I'm a 32E.

hoxtonchick · 07/10/2005 20:29

Sooo glad to hear that Freya are small made was a bit depressed to think I had gone up a cup size.

That should of course be "too", not "to".

Yup, that sounds like me.

Littlefish · 07/10/2005 21:42

Hoxton chick - I think I might change my name to "freaky norks" - do you think it would suit me?

They used to be marginally less freaky before I had my dd (36FF) but they went up to a 38H when I was breastfeeding, and have never really gone down! Heaven only knows what will happen if I get pregnant again. I already feel like my norks enter the room several minutes before I do!

miggy · 07/10/2005 22:05

Love Bravissimo-actually went and got measured a few weeks ago, went in 36g and came out a 32H with boobs about 2ft higher up. I only realised how bad my previous bra was when I tried on one of their fitted shirts and my boobs were 6 in below the boob bits on the shirt!

hoxtonchick · 07/10/2005 22:47

we could be freakynorks1 & freakynorks2 .

i was 36e before i had ds, almost 4 years ago. currently breastfeeding dd, but was 36g before i got pg with her. who knows what's next....

In our village the church runs a friday night called double g club. Always makes me laugh. Not really sure what it stands for - God and Games I think.

flamebat · 08/10/2005 10:48

If you have it done on the NHS then they remove a minimum of 500g per breast (obviously they make it even, but it has to be at least that much), so you can't sort of annunce what size you want to be.

They kind of cut a keyhole shape round your nipple and down, cut out all the excess and sew you up again. There is much more scarring than with implants (bloody rude if you ask me). You end up with your nipple sewn back on, and then a sort of anchor shape scar going sraight down, and then under the breast. The scars would obviously fade with time though.

I have serious thought about it when I am through with babies (don't want to risk my breastfeeding chances). I would love to be able to go braless sometimes in summer, to not feel like something is benig rippe dout of my chest when I take my bra off. And I'm only an F, I feel so much for you much bigger ladies.

weesaidie · 08/10/2005 10:55

I remember when I first reached double d status and I thought that was huge! Went to double G when pregnant but now am a mere F. I think if I was much bigger than that I many consider a reduction but I wouldn't want to do it until I had had all my children!

flamebat · 08/10/2005 18:02

I seem to be blessed in that way, pregnancy doesn't alter mine apart from making them more firm.

Steppy1 · 08/10/2005 18:16

Miggy interesting what you were saying about bra size...similar situation to you...went in with my marks and spencers 40DD came out from a wonderful bra shop now a 36F apparently. Even DH has commented how pert the old boobs look which they do until I take bra off ...when they hit my knees

devilishboozo · 08/10/2005 18:19

Ooh, can I join, or am I bit late? I have a nice pair of 36Fs, (formerly 36DD, pre child) which I can throw over my shoulders.

weesaidie · 08/10/2005 18:26

Was in John Lewis today and saw the wench bra! If I had time to try it on I would be wearing it now! Boo hoo.

MrsSpoon · 09/10/2005 00:17

weesadie, get ye back into JL!

I often wonder how many women are going round wearing bras that are too big round the back just so M&S etc can get them into a bra. I now realise that pre children I was wearing a bra that was too big round the back as I was always howking at it when it was riding up my back.
