Now that the Boden spring website is live and clothes are in stock, I thought I would be receiving my preview order. However phoned up today and the lady I spoke to said it wouldn't be despatched until the end of next week!! Don't know whether that is just my order or if anyone has received their's!?

No email here yet Sad. If I exchange an item from my preview order for another, do I get 20% off the new item? Already have my eye on a couple of things!

My order was despatched today according to an email I've just received.

kittya · 11/01/2011 20:16

Are you really buying Spring clothes already? I wouldnt have the room for them, my place is full of cardis, coats and thermals still!

Northernlurker · 12/01/2011 16:26

Mine has arrived!

Peony satchel - very nice, useful bag.

Spotty jersey top in navy - gorgeous, just gorgeous. Lovely fit - absolutely perfect on me size 22, H cup boobs. Love the colour and the feel.

Now I need to not buy anythinjg for a while - the sale and I have done well together Grin

sleepysox · 12/01/2011 17:22

I want the spotty jersey top too northernlurker, so it's great news it looks good. I'm generously sized in the nork area and all over really, so I'm pleased it's flattering.

sleepysox · 12/01/2011 17:41

Has anyone tried the everyday printed dress yet?

polyhymnia · 12/01/2011 17:49

Have had emails to say mine on way too. Have also ordered the spotty navy top in a 22 so hope I'm as pleased as you, northernlurker.

vesela · 12/01/2011 19:18

Mine was despatched today, but to the wrong address! I did have something sent to that address before Christmas, but I could have sworn I had it right on this order. Of course if I'd checked the first confirmation email I'd have noticed, but I didn't.

Anyway, they were very helpful about it when I rang to see if there was anything they could do. Although it had already left, they arranged to have it pulled from the courier and resent. I was very impressed.

It's a red and white shift dress in ribbon check pattern when it turns up, plus a couple of sale things.

Emo76 · 12/01/2011 20:56

got my children's stuff and the sizing seems way out - DD is a tallish and slim seven year old, I ordered 9-10 and returning all to exchange for 11-12y. hmmm.

kittya · 12/01/2011 21:45

the girls straight jeans/cords are a nightmare, I dont know who they are made for. You have to go up at least two sizes.

Northernlurker · 12/01/2011 21:52

I've resolved not to buy any for my dd1. We just got away with the denim leggings at Christmas but wouldn't anything else. She is a perfectly average size 12 year old - getting slight hip development and that seems totally alien to the Boden designers Angry

josefa · 13/01/2011 12:52

Just got mine. Out of 9 things for me, keeping maybe two, the v neck knitted tops. The 9 year love affair is officially over for me. Have seen Boden decline and decline - it's just expanded so much that its lost its originality, and its quality. I found the fabrics to be much thinner than same items from last year (the Riviera dress, which, by the way, was laughably short.) sizing was mad and erratic.

I should maybe realise I'm not the demographic - I'm a young 43 year old and I'm losing my shape - I'm not short, I have hips, curves and a tummy. I'm a size 16 (or 18 depending on which store you're in and what the cut of the clothes are). But I found the Spring collection to be clearly aimed at younger, slimmer women than me. So, even the things that fitted made me look like mutton. Not classy at all, especially with the thinness of the fabrics. And it makes me sad - I don't want to wear frumpy clothes either! There were hardly any fuller skirts or dresses in the range; normally a swishy skirt or two sorts me out for the spring/summer. Fingers crossed for one in the summer collection.

And the worst part is I live abroad, so sending it back will cost a small fortune.

I hope that Jigsaw makes some decent things in my size or I'm in trouble.

Good luck everyone!

apple99 · 13/01/2011 13:44

I got a huge box this morning, mostly knitwear and t-shirts for my mother. I ordered the chic swimsuit which is gigantic and very cheap looking, the fabric is not as nice as it looks on-line/in catalouge and also the strappy gladiators which although nice are to narrow for my feet so both going back.

No long skirts & most things have 3/4 sleeves - so no orders from me!

Grumpyoldhorsewoman · 13/01/2011 14:14

Had email confirmation, but only bought a few bits for DD2 for our break in Feb half term, so I'm not anxiously waiting. Emo and kittya I know what you mean about sizing - DD2 is quite a chunky 7 yo, but not overweight. On Saturday she was wearing aged 8 jeans and top with an aged 10 tank top! Poor baby will get a complex with these tiny sizes. As I buy most of her stuff online, it makes it very hard to get the sizes right.

carciofi · 13/01/2011 14:16

I got the leopard print gladiators, really pleased with them and tempted to get them in another colour. I agree they are quite narrow.

glovesoflove · 13/01/2011 14:22

I've just got my stuff for the baby and I'm sending it straight back. The 2-pack of baby girl t-shirts is not even average and, for the quality, would be overpriced at half the price, and the flowery dungarees are dreadful, really flimsy badly printed cheap fabric and tacky trims. Compared to the the winter 2-pack tops and flowery dungarees (which are gorgeous and will last for at least another two children) you'd think these were "fakes" off a market stall, it's not even supermarket equivalent quality. I'll spend my money in Next/Gap instead I think...
