I need another handbag. I really do. A cross body/satchelly type. Like last year's Boden one. Any reccomendations?

Or what is the ideal bag in your opinion? Was going to get Cath Kidston messenger bag, but when I went to get it, it was enormous. It seems to be designed for very tall women.

I prefer cross body as leaves hands free and feel safer, would consider shoulder bag, if long straps, don't like bag tucked under my armpit.

Five just looked on site, it was the Petrolina i saw, in brown. Loved the look of it but just found the leather to be hard...

was hoping you had bought one and were going to tell me they soften up.. :)

madam, I have asked for this for my birthday.

I am not looking for the leather to be very soft, because I am hoping it will improve with age.... the petrolina is lovely and I suppose if I was paying full price I might expect it to be softer.

no not yet, should be here midweek.. the bags do soften up, i had a metallic pewter satchel last summer and it did soften and crease up nicely

messenger bag arrived today. It's perfect ! Really glad I went for it in the end, it is a bit more chic than the cath kidston one and the leather is nice and soft.

try FOSSIL i have a nice one from last year from them.
