Ive got the choc/berry, lovely colour way but they wont keep you warm!! I was expecting a Dr Who big scarf but they are more for decoration.

OhCobblers · 07/01/2011 15:18

Damn
velvet plimsolls arrived today. i ordered up a size but they're too big and also not convinced that i really like them.

does anyone know how much it costs to return to them. do they need to go back recorded delivery? i'm sure by the time i'm done P&P will cost as much as the plimsolls!

dexter73 · 07/01/2011 15:23

The cost of sending them back will depend on how much they weigh and whether you send them 1st or 2nd class. I wouldn't think you would need to send them recorded but I think it costs an extra 70p if you want to.

planestrainsautomobiles · 07/01/2011 15:46

Put in an order when I saw this thread and its just arrived:

Spotty silk dress (pink and navy) - OK (might keep)
White shirts with a few ruffles - really nice and fitted (a keeper)
Denim shirt from Johnnie B - another keeper
Swimming Cossie - ok - a keeper more because it was cheap and I can't be bothered to find one for Tuesday when swimming lessons start up again
Ruffle top 3/4 length sleeves - going back - awful fit
Ballerina Flats in metallic - nice but a little big (need to try with insoles if not, going back)

Quenelle · 07/01/2011 15:55

I'm currently deliberating over the Charcoal Posey Floaty Printed Dress.

Does anyone have it? Will it go with dark brown knee length boots or will they look too heavy?

dexter73 · 07/01/2011 16:00

I think brown boots would go with the dress as it does have some brown in it.

Quenelle · 07/01/2011 16:07

Thanks dexter. I think I'll go for it.

My first Boden purchase...

westlake · 07/01/2011 16:33

My first order!! a dress for me and 5 tops to put away for DS £65

MilliONaire · 07/01/2011 16:37

I am tempted by the chiffon ruffle dress - anyone got one of these? What's the fit like? There is a 12R in stock and I am really thinking of going for it!

saz007 · 07/01/2011 16:49

Balls! The site doesn't seem to be working for me, the pages are loading but under all the blurb there's no details about the colours/sizes etc. It's the same on the clearance and normal site.

Oh well, least it will keep my bank manager happy Grin

westlake · 07/01/2011 16:52

anyone got the chelsea dress? i ordered it in clover in a size 20 but now i'm thinking it might be a bit frumpy (i'm 35)

GeorginaWorsley · 07/01/2011 16:57

Quenelle have got floaty dress in all colourways Blush and love it !
Wear mine with various thin long sleeved tees under, cardi over.
Brown boots will be fine.

dexter73 · 07/01/2011 17:03

My cashmere cardy has arrived. It fits really nicely. The wool isn't as soft as Brora but at £38 instead of £189 I can live with it!

MissQue · 07/01/2011 17:08

Is that 118 pounds??? In the sale??? Not my idea of a bargain I must say, gimme Asda George anyday :D

dexter73 · 07/01/2011 17:13

What's £118 MissQue?

dexter73 · 07/01/2011 17:14

Sorry I get what you mean now!

dexter73 · 07/01/2011 17:16

That's less than £15 an item though and the stuff is nicer than George IMO. You can also sell it on Ebay when you don't want it any more and get back what you paid for it, if not more sometimes.

maxybrown · 07/01/2011 17:52

ohcobblers - I have loads of Boden free return labels if you would like me to send you one? Grin

Gogopops · 07/01/2011 18:57

Regarding returns - Boden have now started using Collect Plus where you can drop off parcels at local convenience stores. If you go to the Collect Plus website (sorry, cant do the links yet) they will tell you the nearest one for your postcode. You can print off a free returns label to attach to your parcel. What I like about this system is that you can track the progress of the parcel.

Much better imo than Royal Mail where several of my returned parcels to Boden have gone astray. Luckily Boden have sorted out.

Just bought loads more in the clearance - puffer jacket, cashmere tunic which suddenly came into stock and two pairs of boots. They should arrive next week so hoping my DH is not working from home on the day of delivery!! Wink

CointreauVersial · 07/01/2011 19:26

Quenelle, I ordered the Charcoal Posey Floaty Printed Dress a couple of days ago and am waiting for delivery. It's not something I'd normally buy, but I thought I'd give it a try (and it won't be too heavy if I need to return it).

I also ordered a Ruffle Top, so I'm hoping I like it more than you liked yours, planestrainsautomobiles!! What was the problem fit-wise? What shape/size are you?

I was a Boden "virgin" until now, as I've always thought their stuff was a little overpriced, but I love a bargain.....

Northernlurker · 07/01/2011 19:26

My chelsea dress has arrived and I really like it - slight issues with cut at front but sortable. Perfect length but I'm short! Also go an uptown top - it's great!

OhCobblers · 07/01/2011 22:51

gogopops thank you SO MUCH for that info - there's one just up the road from me!

maxybrown i really appreciate your offer but save your label for you and i'll try the collect plus system that gogopops mentions - thanks v much though.

OtherwisePerfect · 08/01/2011 01:38

I have sent back the Holland Park and wool jersey dresses.

I am a bit miffed as I placed another order wednesday, but noticed there was a Jonnie B dress my DD would like afterwards. I gave customer service a call and they wouldn't add it to the order despite it being less than 24 hours afterwards.

I even quoted the MN code ffs!Grin Considering I have spent hundreds of pounds in the last few weeks, they could have waived shipping I think.

It wouldn't be worth paying postage for one item imo.

Returns cost a fiver too.

maxybrown · 08/01/2011 09:25

no worries cobblers - anytime though, I have stacks of them Blush

planestrainsautomobiles · 08/01/2011 16:25

Cointreau I found the ruffle top far too big, I'm very petite up top (unfortunately not around my hips or midriff!) and it seemed to be very low cut and baggy under the arms / armpit area. Just wasn't a good fit for me but I am on the smaller size so I think if you had an average chest or more it will look good.
