Thats so kind Apuski - and what a lovely way to end this year - well for me Grin. Will make a donation to the new NICU at my local hospital.

Hark - I'm already in my pj's - its going to be a wild one here Wink

Thinking about best-buys in dr's waiting room and concluded that my very best buy was my hasbeens - lordy - I wore those all summer long.

Also loved my new look khakis new look pleather jacket and DP maxi dress in terms of budget buys.

More expensive good purchases include viv dresses and new p&j black dress.

Mistakes - well theres been a few - in fact wore one today - a spotty zara shirt. I really wish zara clothes were in nicer materials - lovely styles but just such cheap fabric/finish.

loobylu3 · 31/12/2010 17:36

fritzi- your outfit sounds absolutely lovely!

ABO- am I allowed to see the pics on your profile please? I know the dress is gorgeous having seen the links!

Hope you all have fantastic celebrations tonight and wishing you all a happy, healthy and fulfilling New Year!

Tracey - that will be wonderful on you - how kind Apuski

My other great buy was a black a-line skirt from Joseph. Every single time I wore it someone said I looked so slim. So much so I actually considered buying another Blush. But I can't find it online anywhere!

LTEC - have you gone? what's the red dress rule? Is it tonight I should be wearing it or t/m? I have it on now just in case!

All those going out tonight - have wonderful fun...all those staying in - enjoy the peace and relax! I look forward to another A&W year with you all.

AllBuggiedOut · 31/12/2010 17:49

Good for you vin - I love to wear a good frock during the day!

looby you are on my mumsnet mates, can you still not see the pic?

traceybath · 31/12/2010 17:50

ABO - I think that style looked fab but have similar colouring to you and find red hard to wear - hence my dyeing adventures.

blossoming · 31/12/2010 17:53

Well done abo. Nice carpets, are they Brintons?

blossoming · 31/12/2010 18:04

Just popping in to wish you all a healthy and prosperous 2011.

Had lovely time in Manchester with DH yesterday, nice lunch (Dukan friendly seared tuna) and bought new underwear but no clothes. Sales were disappointing so will wait for new season but may dabble in a little online if I see anything good, most probably would be link from one of you! Low point of yesterday DH bought me lovely new £££ moisturiser in Space NK but when I opened it I couldn't get any out of the fancy dispenser. Had to go back today with DS1 in tow and it's a 45 min journey each way but they swapped it no problem.

Seeing in the new year with Indian takeaway and champagne but will be Dukaning and Shredding in NY I can buy lots of new clothes and hopefully Shred will have positive impact on love life!

Hello back home for bedtime, baby out like a light, big 2 slightly wired on partyishness but cab booked for 8.30 so all good. They will sleep!!Was lovely party and may be slightly champagned already.

Yes hells it's stroke of midnight stuff. So, red dress, money in purse/ pocket, kiss partner etc. Start as mean to go on styley

ABO I am clueless on colours so apols if gave you dud feedback. Interesting to hear what La Fleece says of it on her though.

Safe and prosperous 2011 to all and thanks for being there in 2010. It really has been big part of a great year.

blossoming · 31/12/2010 20:32

Happy New Year to you all. I am wearing... charcoal!! Why change the habit of 2010? Oh and I'll be watching recorded rugby. Nothing different here for a Friday night!

BelligerentYhoULE · 31/12/2010 20:35

Blossoming is your M&S grey coat still in store? Have been looking for a nice grey coat for ages. Tried a massively reduced VW one on in Selfridges yesterday but it was a) too long and b) very itchy. M&S prices would suit me better too! :)

pickledsiblings · 31/12/2010 20:43

Happy New Year W & A ladies. Some of you are wise and many of you are avid ... but... vin wins the wise and avid title Smile.

Highlight of the thread has to be the safe arrival of bunny's twins.

Hope 2011 is a great one for you all. I might just hang around if I am welcome, I promise to be more W&A although £100 per month is more likely to be my monthly budget. That's half a VW anglomania, and tracey's got five of them Grin .

blossoming · 31/12/2010 20:49

They were there yesterday belligerent. I'm sorry I can't link, but it's double breasted and also comes in red. Hth!

BelligerentGhoul · 31/12/2010 20:54

Thank you. Have norks though, so double breasted not good for me. :(

blossoming · 31/12/2010 20:55

It's the Wool Blend double breasted City coat belligerent.

blossoming · 31/12/2010 20:56

Oh, sorry. Cross posts there.

traceybath · 31/12/2010 21:04

Happy New Year to you all.

DS1 has moved into his own room after sharing with ds2 - looks very small in his new room but eager to be by himself Smile

BelligerentGhoul · 31/12/2010 21:08

Thanks again Bloss. It's lovely but would look awful on me.

Fleecy · 31/12/2010 21:19

Happy New Year all! Indian takeaway and Prosecco here.

Funny you said that cake - was just catching up and thinking I should post. abo I have very similar colouring ('cept my hair ain't natural!) and I've got the P&J on tonight. You need to wear it, rather than letting it wear you I think, so if you're not confident in it, it probably won't work. I'm wearing mine with black opaques, black heels, lashings of mascara to define my face plus pearl studs. I would also wear it with nude or gold heels and bare legs but not without mascara or lippy. Agree with others that jewellery also good.

Have fun those of you who are going out Smile

loobylu3 · 31/12/2010 21:21

Thx abo- I can see it now. I agree with the others. I think it is a lovely dress. I think it could look good on you but I don't think 'wow' with that colour on you and we are all being wise right? :)

Super happy NY again and especially to you vin. Onwards and upwards!
