What eye make up do you wear every day?

I just wear mascara but went out last night and my lovely friend had all smoky dark eye shadow that looked great (I probably stared a bit too much Blush).

I'd love to know how to do that and what shades to get, friend is quite fair, same skin tone as me and it looked fab on her.

Do you wear the full works every day?

GOML try the pencil and be amazed. I just SPaceNK and they're out of stock until end of January but House of Fraser have it for delivery but only seven in stock in fair.

sounds a bit like eyebright from benefit

I always dye my eyelashes black.

I use pencil (Benefit) and gel (Benefit) on my eyebrows, which I don't pluck - I like quite defined eyebrows.

I use a black pencil round my eyes, a pink or white base powder all over my eyelids, brown on the bit of the eyelid covering the eyeball, and a thick black line with a brush and dampened black powder shadow above my lashes, and a thin black line of Guerlain liquid eyeliner. And black mascara on the top lashes only.

For very chic events, I am now converted to false eyelashes on top of all that!

What's your favourite biscuit/cream shadow? The one in my MAC palette is running out, and it's a limited edition so I can't replace it. Been to the MAC store, but the nearest one is way too orangey.

OP, please do yourself and all of us a favour, and just ask her.
My PNG friend ALWAYS has the most beautiful eyeshadow. In the end I just asked her. And she was all chuffed. And spent ages and ages telling me. Next time we went round for coffee with all our babies, she put it on, especially for me. But we all loved it. It was fab.
Best she would love it if you asked her too !!

I've got this from benefit. I haven't perfected it but getting there! Need more nights out to practice!

mippy - Blanc Type is a good one, matte and deffo not orange. If you want some sheen, Grain is my fav... It looks wheat-y coloured, but on the lid its just a beautiful gleam.

Yes, but who makes them? Xmas Smile

Every day (for work etc) I use clinique touch base in canvas light and then some sort of light plum eyeshadow. At the moment I am using l'oreal metal plum. I also use Dior mascara and Rimmel eyeliner.

Its all in the application IMO.

I use Barry M in the evenings.

I've tried all kinds for smokey eyes at night, only thing I've found that works for me is a Dior eyeshadow set with 5 shades in a little squareish set, with picture instructions of where to apply - found it dead easy! I love that for evening, coz daytime I only wear mascara so I like to look really different at night! Xx

Yes, I usually put on a lot of eye make-up for day to day because I wear glasses and find that eyeliner, mascara and eyeshadow help make them 'pop' behind my lenses rather than disappear into obscurity with only the bags under my eyes for definition Wink Grin.

Every day I wear MaxFactor mascara and Chanel/Mac/Benefit eyeliner (liquid on the upper lids and kohl on the lower lids and lash line). Some days I'll wear a taupe eyeshadow with a darker brown in the crease (both Mac) or I'll put on varying shades of grey and black eyeshadow to create the smokey eye. I have to be careful not to end up looking like Dusty Springfield though since I'm pale and only ever end up with five minutes mirror time with DD needing me (two years old, loves my make-up and my attention).

The easiest way to do a smokey eye with pale skin is to either use varying shades of grey rather than black (usually three) or varying shades of brown. You put the lighter colour all over the lid and up to the brow bone, the medium colour only on the lid and the darker colour in the crease and then use a soft brush to blend them all together so there are no hard edges into the colour and it looks gradient while extending out past the lash line. Finish off with two coats of a defining mascara and a slick of black liquid eyeliner. There are lots of YouTube tutorials and tons of tips in various magazines right now for the 'perfect smokey eye' but it's all about experimentation and what works for you. I second Panacea81 on YouTube.

Dark grey eyeshadow (have many brands) on lids and same on lower rim (can't find a liner that stays put) and mascara. I have very pale skin and I look like a panda if I go any darker than charcoal around my eyes.

I always get compliments when I wear Mac Naked Lunch. It's so neutral I almost didn't bother buying it but it's lovely on for a daytime/office/casual look or a base.

DH always tells me I have "such beautiful eyes" when I wear it. I have stopped telling him its the eyeshadow and just take the compliment now.
