Bloss Fabulous apron!

Bunny Violet. Hester. Cecilia. Flora. Just a few to add to the mix! Smile

Just back from very good fireworks and bonfire. DD just gone to bed!

Tracey Have fun with the IL's.

Zembo Glad all is well and dh is a happy man tonight!

DT There's something not quite right about those boots.

Great girls' dresses! I just love things that look like they were made for children and not mini-adults.

DTI10 · 05/11/2010 21:45

Boots are packaged up and ready to see the Post Office first thing! I am boot online browsing tonight and now spotted the Belstaff on my wardrobe but guess what - sold out in 41!!

Thanks eshermummy and mrsjuan for input Smile.

notyummy · 05/11/2010 21:50

Esher- when I was 6 or 7 I had an Angels annual!! I don't actually remember watching it, but I probably did. My mum is/was a nurse and she always watches any hospital drama on so she can critique the bad nursing skills!

blossoming · 05/11/2010 21:51

dt, I've given up. I get all my shoes from Russell & Bromley.

DTI10 · 05/11/2010 22:01

bloss Russell & Bromley not online and I have made a quick dash in lunch hour on this week and found nothing.

When will they catch up and have a website to purchase from?

bunnymother · 05/11/2010 22:09

Hf - name snap! DD is Cordelia, else Cecilia would be on short list. Am seriously considering Violet / Violette but it may fail due to being too popular. Arabella was also looking good but too popular. Diana is one of my faves by DH has vetoed (plus it doesn't have a good nickname). Also loving Leonora but got vetoed too.

Dolce - Ottoline is OK IMO but love Adeline. Vetoed as is DH's aunt's name. Poor DTD's will be at school before we have a name!

MrsJ - yes, nameberry is the site! Good luck steering your Dsis away from horrendous names!

hf128219 · 05/11/2010 22:19

Bunny Very funny that the reason I like Cecilia is that I have a goddaughter called that. More of a coincidence is that her mummy's 2 sisters are called Leonora and Cordelia!!

Claudia?

blossoming · 05/11/2010 22:23

bunny, what about Isabella?

notyummy · 05/11/2010 22:28

Jocelyn?

Ava?

Nancy?

eshermummy · 05/11/2010 22:34

Bunny, dd2's middle name is Angelica.
I also like Greta, Felicity and Louisa.
Susannah I think is also pretty and currently "out of fashion" although I am not so keen on any of the shortened versions...sue, susie, Soooz (!!!! ugh)
I also like Luella although am thinking that maybe not trad enough for you?

carciofi · 05/11/2010 22:34

I'm quite glad that Russell and Bromley don't sell online as I would be just too tempted. Blush

Really like Belstaffs, DT, Coggles sell them too. Ash boots are very nice too.

It is so hard to agree on a name. Isabella is beautiful.I have started working on DH for the boy's name I want. He has already chosen Francesca for a girl, luckily I like it too.

eshermummy · 05/11/2010 22:35

I prefer Cecily to Cecilia I think and that could work with Cordelia.

hf128219 · 05/11/2010 22:37

Clementine

Iona

Hero

Iris

Juliana

Theodora

Rosalind

Delphine

Cecily

Daphne

Tell me to lay off the Pinot Grigio! Smile

carciofi · 05/11/2010 22:39

Susannah is very like my name so I like it. Grin

Fleecy · 05/11/2010 22:49

Hero is my wishlist girl's name. DH thinks I'm crazy but I have a lot of love for my imaginary 2nd DD Hero Smile

My sis is Felicity - I think it's beautiful and it means happiness which is wonderful.

carciofi

Thanks. I have the Ash Mikita boots and although lovely they have a gape too but I am not sending back as I like them too much!

I looked at Coggles earlier - sold out. Need to write and badger Mr and Mrs Russell and Bromley to make advancements on their website for purchasing!

I love the name Clementine.

hf128219 · 05/11/2010 23:02

Jocelyn, to me, sounds a little too masculine.

I knew a Mercedes at school - she was Spanish.

LetThemEatCake · 05/11/2010 23:53

another late night post from me...

Fritzi hope you get things sorted at dd'd kindy.

fab bracelets tracey and hells

bloss food sounds great. Our bonfire night party is tomorrow night ... yes, doing food. Had to watch the Event tonight ... new addiction ...

hells glad your Tibi dress is a winner. I have to say a big thank you to WW for highlighting the therapy version which arrived today and is fab .. no doubt not as fab as the Tibi version but super nonetheless an absolute butt-grazer of a dress but I love it (as did the rest of my fans-- family)

this also arrived and was only tried on briefly but looks like it could be a goer too.. will try again tomorrow ..

gosh carciofi how horrible re FB!!

tracey I like Little Leona and Ilovegrogeous for dd's best dresses

LOL at Plum's craft enabling Grin

Glad you are well zembo looking fwd to seeing the wonder of ds's party after the sterling effort for dd!!

fab fab fab dress dolce

Hi DT I'm not sure about those boots either .. difficult to wear, I think. I too am a 41 (sometimes even a 42 Shock Blush) , so I feel your pain

right still don't know what to wear tomorrow night so am off to bed to ponder it further sleep on it. Have lovely weekends all (good luck with iLs tracey and bloss)

Lots of beautiful names being suggested bunny. Has anyone said Evangeline? I suddenly thought of that gorgeous girl from Lost tonight when I was watching The Event ..

bloss you are so clever. £8 sounds fair I think.

Evening all!

Such a long time since I've had a minute to be at the computer, so sorry for absence.

Bloss I love the apron and would definitely buy one (or three!) if you'd be happy to sell to me Smile

After everyone's shopping suggestions last week, I had a fantastic afternoon in London. The V&A shop was wonderful for jewellery, including this tree necklace, the dog one was gorgeous too but I'm not really a dog person and it felt wrong somehow. I didn't buy this but am regretting it a bit; if I can find a plain jersey dress to wear it with then I'll order it. although it was quite heavy so would be for evening wear only! Also got a couple of very cheap and cheerful beady rings.

On Oxford Street I braved Primark; there was a fab mock-sheepskin dark brosn shearing aviator but sadly not in my size, but got a chocolate brown v-neck jumper, some gloves and tights. Also got a camel polo neck in M&S.

Also got was it roary's banana republic cowl neck which was too gorgeous to pass up, and a ring which isn't online. Cos was lovely thanks for the suggestion mm but I didn't buy anything. Also got a cashmere blend cable knit in Uniqlo which is much nicer than it looks here. And I think my favourite purchase of the day was a fab leopard scarf from Zara (no link, sorry) in lovely rich warm colours. I love it so much I am considering taking the red leopard Lily & Lionel off my christmas list!

Wore Janice with long brown Bertie boots and denim jacket and was very happy with the ensemble.

I loved reading about the books you're enjoying with your DCs. There are such fantastic books to share with them. I must admit to banning (or at least removing from the main bookcase) books I don't enjoy reading aloud. I am a firm believer, for example, that the Mr Men are to be enjoyed in one's head only Blush. And I don't care how much the boys like Thomas the Tank Engine; I will not read the Revd's dreary books to them!

Good luck with the names bunny. try not to feel pressured into choosing something before you are ready. You will know the right name when you meet your babies and find it. It always takes us days to decide and we've only ever had to do one at a time!

Am very envious of all this talk of sequins. Actually Primark had a nice navy sequined cardie, but the sequins were too silvery for me.

Very much enjoying wearing the Antipodium brown and balck striped dress atm. I love it with brown opaques and long brown boots Smile

Must go now as am almost falling asleep typing. I hope to have time to catch up with more links tomorrow (when I hope also to be able to report on Asos package which is currently winging its way to me). Night all.

blossoming · 06/11/2010 07:54

plum, those tree decorations are lovely. Thanks for the link. Could be a rainy day project for dc1 at least!

abo, I'll be selling to anyone who's interested! When I have my full range I'll post photos and you can decide then.

Morning everyone else. Miserable day. Have persuaded dh to light a fire in the rarely used living/dining room. (Well it's actually my gym now!). At least we'll be cosy down there, and with 5 adults for lunch, when else would we use the dining table and nice china?
